Deathfire Grasp gone

I would like to know why Riot would take out DFG (Deathfire grasp) this item was very important in many of my builds with AP carrys like Katarina, Veigar, and Leblanc.

Because it was TOO important. It was such a central item that it warped the champion's power.

They gave an explanation in the patch notes. Also it was pretty unhealthy for gameplay.

It's alright, they'll be properly compensated for the loss. Katarina is going to be a bruiser jungler, Veigar will be an ADC now, and Leblanc will be a beefy kite mage since assassins are unhealthy for the game unless you're Zed. Those are all suitable buffs right?

Veigar's abilities and passive converted to AD would be extremely OP. LeBlanc would be fun with a for a couple of seconds lasting unbreakable Ethereal Chains that can't extend when attached to a champion, only retract. That'd be Skarner 2.0, dashing away with a champion on her Ethereal Chains attached xD
