Nope, just don't bother, you would have to spend at least 1000 games JUST to climb up to a decent Elo, even if you played perfectly every game, you may as well just start a new account & level it to 30 instead of wasting your time on ranked at such a ratings deflation. Elo-System is bad even for 1v1 in Chess and requires HUNDREDS of games to reflect one's TRUE Chess-Elo as has been discussed by chess-players/analysts let alone for a 5v5 setting like League where the ACTUAL number is THOUSANDS of games played. You may as well just level up smurf-accounts with that kind of time instead.
When I started this season, I got OVER TWENTY feeder-times in a god-damn ROW, who ALL died at LEAST 10x within the first few minutes, then an average of maybe 45 deaths by the ten-minute mark, followed by fucking FOUR-MAN SURRENDER-Voting me into a BRONZE-DEMOTION, not ONE match after provisionals lasted for longer than 20 minutes UNTIL I got Demoted, then it happened AGAIN after I had cliimbed & clawed my way back up to S-4, MULTIPLE feeding teams in a row who COULD NOT stay alive for more than 30 seconds into the start of the match who kept dying over and over, then FOUR-MAN SURRENDER-VOTING me into Bronze AGAIN in the SAME damn season, forcing my Win-Loss record to start out at 11 wins to 48 losses, and has been THE absolute PRIMARY reason why I QUEUE-Dodge as much as I did (over 350x queue-dodging this season by the way otherwise my win-rate would be absolute SHIT because of this troll-system of troll-matching).
The matching also HAS NOT gotten any better for me either. Just last night even after I had ALREADY picked for TOP and had TELEPORT in my Summon-Spells, our LAST-Picked decided to grab Yorick, then instead of going bot-lane, went up to MY top-lane, and he proceeded to FEED my lane-opponent, with LESS than HALF of his C-S to boot, and I was forced to go bot-lane whilst everybody else on my team proceeded to die multiple times with the enemy side having a 15+ stacks fed Diana-Jungler where it all just snow-balled to a stupid guaranteed loss (see ? I have fo fucking Queue-Dodge like NINE out of TEN of my matches in order to prevent my Win-Loss ratio from going to all shit due to this shit happening).
Also, the other day, I faced against a team who had RILLAIN, previous-season PLAT-RANKED player, and even though I could hold MY own that match-up, the REST of my team apparently couldn't. Unless you have a really competent queue-partner or pre-made that is already very co-ordinated then just don't bother. Ranked is nothing but LUCK if you SOLO-Queue UNLESS you play nothing but snow-ball-capable early-game-champions who ALWAYS get First-Blood followed by snow-balling out of control (the history of my matches have PROVEN this IF everybody could see the replays of the first 60 matches of my account for this season).
