League of Legends patch 9.2 notes - Sylas and 2019 Lunar Revel skins

I posted this in the comment section of that article, but wanted to post here to more easily create discussion as well added some changes

As someone with a lot of Yorick experience (currently 121105 mastery points as of 1/11/2019) I like that they are shifting some health from the maiden into her raw DPS output, it really makes up for the change to the item 3053 item 3078 combo that he depended so much on which lost him more than a hundred damage per q.

I also like that his E will feel like it can scale now giving me more reason to prefer the option that adds to his damage output rather than the simple "team has dashes, max E, team has low mobility max W" formula and more of a benefit for hitting the rather small and slow hitbox it has. Still a "land E win lane" situation which I can take or leave.

It's too early to say if the extra ghouls are going to help him manage in lane or not but It will certainly help. I think this is one of his two major issues which was kind of a 180 from his previous incarnation which was spam E win lane (obviously not good champion design, I started taking him mid lane because he could win any lane he wanted).

He also continues to have a pretty lackluster teamfight unless he has his ultimate, he sort of gets treated like a worse Darius and really only does well in lower levels of play. The changes to the maiden sort of exemplify that a tad, while have a much better slow on the E improves things (if you can land it consistently). All it feels like you can do sometimes is land an E and have your maiden fight for you or wait for any over extensions to capitalize with W, and land the occasional Q here or there (which, again, was pretty indirectly nerfed hard). If his ghouls/maiden can push waves for him so you can join the team what's the point if you have a rather poor teamfight ability especially when you are stuck without your ulti?

Overall I want to say that these are definitely welcomed changes but the important thing to look at is if he returns to his pre steraks change state which was rather subpar or if he exceeds it. If he exceeds it I'd say this is fine, but if he doesn't I'd really like to see a revert in the nerf to his base AD or perhaps more healing given to his Q. Percentage healing would be wonderful, but we obviously don't want to turn him into "spam one ability and win lane" like he was previously.
