Raptors camp destroys kindred

guesswhonotme··5 votes·1,409 views

I've found that doing my jungle on Kindred, everything but Raptors seems good. The rest of the monsters I can either kite around and take less damage (blue/red buff, wolves) or do little damage (toad/krugs).

The raptors however, are incredibly fast, they do a shit ton of damage and I almost opt not to touch them at all on Kindred due to the amount of damage I recieve. In one game, I found myself using both of the health portions of my healing tonic just because the raptors almost killed me and I started on red side.

I should also mention that this is mostly in the early game. Later on, every jungle camp is easy. I just think that the raptors are too strong for a non-tanky jungler in the early game or they are too strong for people without a good strong aoe.

Perhaps I can... Take them off your hands...

They are AoE camps, Kindred is a single target jungler and he shoudl skip them. Usually you only clear 5 camps out of the 6 anyway

They are a strictly AoE-only camp as per Riot's wishes.

As you metoined yourself, it is only that way early game. Since the camp isn't required to perform well you just skip it early.

I think that would be fair if not aoe champions had trouble clearing raptors, not that was literally a suicide for them, until you get runaan you are forced to ignore a camp, and unless you want to rush it it's all gold that will go wasted, and since the gank potential got extremely crippled with the nerfs you can't even focus on map pressure (which will eventually put you behind, i tested that on hecarim, applied map pressure like a madman and i was poor as hell late game, not a viable strat in low elo at all, it shouldn't be that you rely on teammates to perform well.)

Yeah, basically kindred is forced to ignore 2 camps per clear or you won't have enough hp/mana even if you go flask, also kindred was tuned for when the camps were at max 3 targets, so the Q could be effective, but even if i auto the small ones and i kite it perfectly there's no way to get them off you. Also you have significantly less resources than other junglers, not counting that you're a farm intensive champion and all the early game pressure was gone when they nerfed her E, it would be nice not to add the heal component back since it could be abusable but at least an improved lifesteal on monsters.

I just really don't get why the jungle has to change because "E-sports is boring if there isn't 95% more action." Why not, I don't know...just keep the jungle the way it used to be so all types from power farmers to gankers had a place? And not this current iteration?

it destroys everyone that doesn't have a spamable aoe spell

I don't know what you're doing, but I easily clear it at level 2 with my health almost full. Q, then W to get the reset, then spam Q to kite. Use 1 or 2 pots. Focus the mini ones first, because they do so much dmg

The "Use 1 or 2 pots" factor is kinda what bothers me. That's one pack of jungle monsters that can take UP TO 2 of our health potions or charges. Not necessarily saying it always made me use 2 charges of my healing tonic, but it did always make me use at least one and I might be low health afterwards.

if you have smite up, you don't need to use any pots for it bc smiting heals now. Or you could go find a honeyfruit plant

Kindred might be bad at clearing the new raptors, but Amumu loves them.

srsly, his e comes off cooldown every 2 seconds when doing raptors wtf

I've realized that aoe champs have it pretty well with the raptors, cause they die really easily. However, for those of us that do not have a spammable aoe, this particular camp is painful. Should I just skip them? That's lost gold in the early game, probably the most important part of the game because it builds a foundation for the mid and late game. I am basically gimping myself by being forced to overlook a jungle pack. I realize my invade potential is good as kindred but that's risky and I don't always 100% of the time do so.

I'm a Kindred mastery 7. The chickens honestly don't bother me. The new smite makes it really easy to stay healthy in clears, it's easier than ever.

Same with Kha'Zix. That shit is torture for him.
