Herded like Sheep?

Been noticing a lot of losses across the board from all areas; myself, streamers, other players in game and on boards. A lot of this feels like preferred champs are no longer 'good' in the current system and that only a select few are out of the 139 champion pool.

Does anyone else feel like Riot is driving you towards a pre-arranged champion pool? Does anyone else feel like you're being forced to play certain champions if you even want a chance at winning your games? It feels like I'm being forced to buy champs I wouldn't normally in order to be any kind of threat in games.

What are your thoughts?

No riot is not intentionally forcing a smaller meta. This is just a result of the imbalance of new runes coupled with the fact that many champions don't have ideal runes/stat changes fucked them up a little making good champions great and just viable ones before worse.

If you want you can still main whatever and win if you are good enough but tbh that just comes with matchup knowledge (stomping lanes you counter/neutral, even with lanes that counter you) and general macro knowledge (good rotations, keeping pressure on objectives). It is quite a bit harder/takes longer to learn new champions atm because of this.
