There's a very fine line between viable and overpowered. The main reason she isn't META right now is because there are other picks for the jungle that are flat out overpowered. However, if you're skilled enough with any champion who is out of meta, you can play that champion. I mean, when the ranks all level out, there will be a guy who made it to Challenger playing Urgot, and another guy who did it as Aatrox. You can play legitimately anyone and still win if you're good enough at that champion and at the game in general. The META is just who is OP at the time, not who is viable. Anyone is viable.

To be meta is to be banned or considered for bans.

I may be a humble bronzie, but I've been playing kindred a lot lately and she's not horribly positioned. She just cant stand beside the likes of hecarim, vi, or lee sin. She does decent damage, has great, great clears because of the new smite, and is great at invading every non meta jungler there is, and some meta junglers too. She can stand her own against lee sin and vi if she does it perfectly, and she can legit kite a master yi through his fucking ult with red buff. She could use a small buff, sure, but more for mobility then damage. I
