RIOT give some love to the boots pls

I'd rather they remove boots entirely, give champs scaling MS, and put all of the unique passives on compelling items rather than mandatory mobility items. That would free up a lot more in terms of build paths and gameplay.

If they added this then they would only be nerfing hecarim more. How is he supposed to hold 4 boots in one slot?
I definitely want Vayne critting me for 1200 damage twice a second because she can buy a 6th damage item
The entire game is balanced around champions having 5 items slots and boots. That's an extra item late game with no drawback and would greatly change balance.

Great idea. Really, the most simplest of ideas I've seen today is the best.
Unless you want all ADCs to obtain 100% crit and armor pen and IE, giving that many item slots is a really bad idea.
This is pretty smart.
Why not just outright remove boots; give all champions MS per level (with more distinction between champions/roles); then just improve non-boot MS itemization of champions who want to invest in it?
But then what about champions like Hecarim and Skarner who have more than one pair of feet/hoofs/appendages?
Also make it that normal boots still takes up an item slot to prevent buying multiple item efficient like dorans ring.
I'd rather see a consumable/pink ward slot. That makes sense to me, as other MOBAs have one. Having access to 7 legitimate items + boots would require riot to rebalance the (super) late game of many champions. The situation where you complete 7 items and upgraded boots also would probably only happen 1 out of every 10 games or so.
The main issue I see here is that stomps will only be even stompier. There are many games where I've been Xin Shao or Mundo and I'm clearing both ally and enemy jungles in a matter of minutes, pushing lanes, getting kills, taking turrets. It's not uncommon for me to have 7k+ more gold than everyone else. The more slots they add, the more uneven it can get.
The "consumable slot" I could get behind. The "boot slot" is not a good idea, though. You would need to completely re-balance the game around new full builds for every champs. A huge investment for what return?

Figured this out years ago. I am happy.
But yeah, the whole boots thing shouldn't be a main item. The concept has never made sense, 11 champions float off the ground all game, Cass has no feet, etc etc.
There should be an 8th slot, but not for boots. Get rid of boots altogether and let us by something akin to a movement trinket. Of course it opens up the 6th slot to add more damage or defense, but that should be up to the player.
Or you could be like me and not buy boots all game. You get automatic homeguards at 20min. 6 items of tank<6 items of vayne
if we had a choice id rather have a slot for pink wards instead
You guys have been trying to crowd out the 5 item support playstyle since preseason... what gives?
lol this wouldnt be love for just boots though...this would be love for just about everyone and majorly effect late game for all champs. that would be a nightmare to have to rebalance everyone for their late game. I mean just imagine certain late game hyper carries with an extra item on top of their boots. thats insanity.

, because you can't really buy them when you're full build or you have too many components in your inventory.
I'm pretty sure games would stretch past 60 minutes because of this, then as everyone would be tankier and more powerful and even more on the edge.
