So ive been spamming kennen in the top lane and been climbing hella fast in the ladder i went from s1 to g4 in 2 weeks or less but one thing that pissed me off which happened recently is that i was at 1620 mmr which is like gold3-2 and lost one game, ONE GAME and it dropped down to 1420. All my hard work and winstreaks went to nothing because of one lose and honestly dont let me get started on all these smurfs from plat and diamond playing against me i dont see how thats fair but its happened to me quiet a bit now. idk my question is my mmr was at like 1620 and i was still getting like 18-19 points which is dumb when regular mmr for gold 4 is 1500 and i lost 200 mmr point from losing one game??

I was curious about this as well, and so I recorded my LP awards/losses over a series of several hundred ranked matches.

In this graph, the blue is Bronze V LP and the red is Bronze IV LP http://s6.postimg.org/4cbrktpox/LPdistribution_By_Division.png

There are three peaks for Bronze V which appear at about -18 LP, 0 LP and +20 LP. This suggests that over the course of the games played the win/loss awards were fairly consistent, with an overall tendency toward a climb out of Bronze V.

But the awards shown in red for the Bronze IV matches show a different picture. There are two peaks at about 0 LP and +13 LP, but no consistent loss award peak. This suggests that there are complications in the loss awards in the Bronze IV division.

Further game research in higher tiers could refine the image of the problematic model, but that information isn't currently available.
