I've read the changes that Riot's been planning on Katarina through Tiensi and I don't understand why they're happening. Riot could you please explain? Are there some other factors that will come in to balance out her kit?

The way I and most people play Katarina as far as I know is as a burst AP assassin, who'll take out that target who's out of position and either get out or just snowball the fight with her resets . But if she fails, her main escape is her E, one of the greatest aspects of her kit. Not to mention there's always that chance of catching up to an enemy by chasing until her E is off cooldown, or run away until the same happens. I'm wondering whether she won't be completely outclassed in the upcoming season and just completely un-playable in Ranked.

Maybe I'm still just not good enough with her to feel safe regardless of nerfs, but as a Katarina 'main', I feel insecure about these possible changes and am hoping they won't actually be as impacting on her. Ultimately, if these changes take place we'll just have to learn to work around the issues, but it'll be difficult.
