I was gold 5 in the preseason and i went 7-3 in promos, I am now silver 2. I went back a rank for every loss but i get nothing for every win? man screw this id rather play a game with a mathematically sensible ranked system

Your MMR was probably tanked. A Gold 5 account can easily have a silver MMR. Well, also the initial placement is lower than your MMR and then you get good LP gains. Extra grinding for no reason!
if you really deserve gold, you should just climb back up. I went 5/5 and got placed in plat 5, was plat 3 season 4 I went to diamond 5 in 25 games, skipping plat 4 and plat 2. The system isn't holding anyone back, you yourself are.
I ended silver 5 went 7-3 and now im bronze 3...
