Matchmaking in ranked

This is more of a ranting post, but I want to see if anyone else feels the same. I recently reached the hell that is high plat elo and peaked at plat 1. Since then, it’s been a streak of lost games. I admit that some of these losses were due to my mistakes and poor gameplay, but the majority of them have been due to a single person on my team performing horribly and racking up deaths in the double digits. It’s frustrating seeing my rank drop so much when I lose so many games because of a single bad teammate, and regardless of how well I play I can’t salvage the game. I’m not sure if this is a matchmaking issue or just incredibly bad luck for the past dozen games, but it’s making ranked incredibly unpleasant and pointless to play for me.

People are going to say it is matchmaking, but honestly it is bad luck.

What a lot of people either don’t realize or don’t want to admit is that every feeds sometimes, literally everyone at some place or time and you are just getting the unlucky times when those bad times on when they are on your team.

Yeah no one cares in D5 as they feel like they've completed the game and it's almost impossible to demote...

If it was easier to demote from D5 then that elo would be far more competitive

Its definitely matchmaking, I would constantly lose my first division promo only to win the second. I could definitely tell the quality of the players I was getting every game. The system would give me worse players than I got before i went into the first promo but then i get decent players sometimes even carried on my second promo for a guaranteed win. This proves to me that rito's system does control the quality of players you get to some extent.
