Sivir's nerfs in comparison to Ashe and Jhin is huge.

Ashes nerfs in comparison to Sivir and even Jhin was a joke. She was arguably the strongest out of the 3 and yet got nerfed the least.

Comparing her Ult nerf of 50 dmg to Sivirs where his attack speed at max rank got reduced to 60% (20% reduction) which used to be his 2nd rank is a huge hit to his late game is actually astonishing how much Riot hates Sivir.

Ashes q nerf of 1 second is not as bad as it sounds as lane trades/fights are usually over by the 4 second mark meaning she her dps in most fights will not have changed, sure in teamfights her q downtime will hurt but no where near as to Sivir's.

Jhins nerfs is another joke, directed at completely the wrong places. I don't know what Riots balance team is on tbh.

To top it all of Sivir has another set of nerfs coming on the pbe, and with an 8 second cdr increase max rank on her spellshield with no other nerfs to Ashe.

They're smashing her before worlds on purpose so she can't steal the show. She was the star last year at worlds and is on track to be the star this time. They want other major ADCs so they are putting her down now. She will be rebuffed after the worlds patch goes through.

I mean it is happening. There is no reason to cut her mana regen in half and take her shield's CD and raising it by 8 seconds late game. What kind of nerf has ever gone that far ever? They typically give little taps, not massive chunks. They're killing her for worlds. It's bad, but I agree with it. I don't want a Sivir dominated Worlds again. You will see buffs after worlds patch.

I'm pretty sure the biggest change to a champion as a result of their performance in competitive was Olaf, who lost a full 10/20/30 armor penetration on his ultimate which cut his damage practically in half. And then Olaf was shit for like two years.

In the same patch, they also lowered his Q damage by 20 at all ranks, increased his W cooldown from 12 to 16 seconds (33% less uptime) and increased his E cooldown from 4 seconds to 5 at max rank, for another 25% less up time on another skill.

They nerfed every skill he had but his passive in the same patch, by massive amounts, and then gutted all the items he used as well. went from a 48% winrate to a 32% winrate overnight, and then stayed sub-40% winrate for the next two years.

There were a time - I dunno how much used this meme is now - where people predicted which champions that would receive nerfs were based on the skins released.

Most of these changes are directly aimed at the pro scene for Worlds. Yes, they suck for us normal players but this patch is implementing all the major changes for the final 6.18 patch that worlds will be played on. Don't expect any major changes next patch.

Whut.... Tahm was a powerhouse on release, it's just the fact that he's classified as a primary support and that his ult active was useless most of the time that he flew under the radar for a while. I've been playing Tahm since his release and he was BONKERS on release.

Jhin nerfs directed the Armor penetration rune + Armor penetration itemization, where you could blow up (or burn 1-2 of summon) the enemy ADC by landing your W and use your ult. Just by only after completing yomuu. (If enemy support wasn't around). Still not the right way to nerf him, or not him but do something with the items.

He wasn't problem for so long till Lucian (direct nerf via kit) and Ezreal (Frozen mallet/Trinity - undirected nerfs) got tuned down. Obviously then he took their place, and he just abused the armor penetration as lucian did. Do something with your items instead of tuning down every marksman which fulling their predecessors place. (Like at season start happened with Corki, then Kalista, Lucian and Ezreal.)

I like the sivir nerfs, finally i won't see her at all in this season. (#sarcasm) She got already the victorious skin last season, tune her down. (#STRONGERsarcasm) (To the kalista level) The new nerf on PBE - if making out to live - will murder her to the point she'll need a recovery. HAHA.

She's considered a top pick not for her actual raw dps but rather the utility she provides on her team. Her Q is a long range poking device, her W is an ability that can clear entire waves as well as punish anyone standing close to the wave or even champions in team fights giving both split pushing prowess and safe team fighting. Her spell shield gives her the utility to block spells, a utility that pretty much guarantees her safety and refunds her mana in many match ups. Her R provides utility allowing her team to quickly engage or disengage due to the team wide movement speed buff, this is why she's picked.

Actually, her damage at 3 items is a factor. The fact that she provides so much utility as well is what pushes her over the top as an S tier pick.

Ummmm.......they almost made SKT Sivir because she was played at Worlds. And Victorious Sivir because along with Kalista (who got the SKT skin, btw) she dominated the bot lane meta in S5. Not because Riot likes her more than Ashe or Jhin.

Sounds as if you're saying champions have to be flashy to be in pro play. That's why Katarina, Zed, Draven, etc. are such priority picks right now, huh?

Ashe has global stun plays and permaslow flurries to hype the crowd up. Jhin has equally massive range and crits to snipe and one-shot people to death to hype up a crowd.

Sivir? Pokes with Q and gives decent (dis)engage.

Then explain why Jhin and Ashe barely got touched but Sivir is actually getting very hefty nerfs with more on the PBE. It's a pretty reasonable conclusion that Sivir is not as flashy of a champion in comparison to other dominant ADCs. And saying Sivir has not been nerfed because of doing well in competitive in the past is an overstatement. Kalista is probably the only other ADC I can think of that has probably been nerfed more.

Because Sivir has spent almost two years in the spot light. That's why they don't want her played at worlds, otherwise she would probably be getting a worlds skin for who ever won this year. She almost got the Victorious skin and a worlds skin for the same year. That's how much usage she has seen. People are tired of seeing her played.

Take it from someone who actually plays Ashe and Jhin, that these nerfs are well placed. Outside of lane all Jhin does is start and end teamfights with his W and Ult. Occasionally he might actually AA to clean up a fight. The Ashe Q nerf is specifically to hurt her late-game dps, not her lane power. The ult nerf already hurts her plenty in lane, since 50 damage is a lot early game.

And I don't play Sivir but meh, fuck her. All she does is farm and shove lane for 20 minutes and then wreck teamfight's with her team-wide utility and massive AoE damage from pressing two buttons. I wouldn't mind if she was absent from Worlds.

They removed Curtain Call's 10% CDR for every shot Jhin did not use. Sivir Ult got nerfed too. R.I.P Hope to see you after worlds sivir. Now compare those 2 nerfs to freaking ashe. 1 second less on her Q. Small dmg nerf on her ult which wasn't ever used for the damage anyway.

In the notes, they called out that a lot of times he just sits back with his high range W and R rather than going in at all. There are many times I've seen Jhin land a single R hit in order to snipe a straggler, or slow someone that extra tiny bit necessary for his teammate to catch up and initiate on someone. In both situations, getting 30% multiplicative cooldown reduction means he can do that super often.

To me, it seems like something he never needed, and that they included it because they thought he was too weak.

This change practically forces him to build item 3508 first or second item instead of going the usual item 3142 + item 3147 build. You can still go the Armor Pen build but his downtime has been increased by a lot during the mid game which is where he shined with the build.
