Tips on farming in an oppressive lane?

Hey guys! I think I've pin pointed my biggest game deciding factor when it comes to the laning phase and that's farming against a ranged lane as a melee. I enjoy playing Diana mid lane and she's super reliant on snow balling, I've noticed in higher elos it's harder to stack up on solo kills and so I've been trying to figure out the best way to get ahead via cs, while I'm fine on last hitting/hitting minions under turret I do have a hard time when my opponent is super aggressive/not pushing the lane disallowing me to cs without being on their side of the lane any tips?

Its probably best to let some enemy minions die and just wait for the lane to be pushed to you, yeah you might get those cs in the middle of the lane but will lose 30% of your hp which makes you lose even more cs once the lane gets pushed because now you don't even have enough hp to farm near your tower. The other day I lost so much health just to get a cannon minion and I basically lost more minion gold that way because then I had to play ultra safe or recall.

playing melee champs into ranged is usually a form of advanced torture, but you basically just gotta learn to live on CS welfare. take what you can get under turret while you aren't being poked, farm with ranged tools (diana q), etc. also, mages generally can only abuse assassins on mid during the earlygame before jungle pressure appears and assassins start getting powerspike items, but after you get a couple you can usually 100-0 mages by clicking on them unless they perma cc you. essentially just take the abuse early, re-abuse them mid and late, assuming they aren't 5 man deathballing

It depends on the match up mainly. But yea as a Diana, you gonna have a very very hard time to farm unlike talon or fizz. Talon and fizz can punish the opponent heavily when they misstep and have enough damage to kill opponent early game. I don't know much about Diana TBH because I rarely see her but she's in a very bad spot now. I think you should try a new champion? But up to u :)

Freeze the lane just outside your turret range and safely farm there. This means oppressive champs have to overextend, leaving them vulnerable to ganks. You can also just roam after shoving lane and that'll be the major way for you to snowball.

Do not use your AOE spells on minions to secure farm cause you'll just end up pushing the wave to the enemy side of the map. Only use those spells when you need to trim the amount of minions in the wave quickly or plan on basing, roaming, or getting tower damage.

Take sustain options so you can stay in lane for as long as possible. Like starting corruption pot and taking biscuits from runes, or going resolve secondary to take bone plate or second wind.

Also you can just take teleport as Diana, she has enough base damage that she can just kill the enemy mid laner once she hits six regardless.
