Malzahar is in need of a Nerf

This is just a personal opinion, feel free to debunk it but please, be constructive with your opinions or this is a waste of everyone's time.

In my latest experience, Malzahar is in need of a bit of tweaking in balance, while not as unbalanced as some may believe, he does have a bit of an issue when it comes to keeping him shut down. unlike other mages, he is very good at csing, so refusing to give him kills doesn't bother him, he can and will cs at a rate to challenge an adc, just with his infection and autos. so shutting him down is not the best solution, nor is it the easiest either. many people speak about QSS being a good solution for fighting him, which, is true. but doesn't matter, because he can, just choose to go for another person, or sit back and wait to re-apply his dot. his base damage with a few ap items is very good, so more often than not, Malzahar can be built as a semi-tanky mage that can still kill a carry with his full combo and walk out of the team fight to let his ranged skills do the work, and allowing his team to clean up. shutting him down once he has begun to snowball is next to impossible, due to his uncanny ability to both 1v1, and survive multiple attackers, if he dies, he probably took one or two enemies with him. his ult not only suppresses longer than WarWick, but it does the most damage of his entire kit. due to the setup of his kit, he does not have to step into a team fight and risk his life, often he can use his ult as a save to keep a stray assasin or anyone with a gap closer from killing him, while his dots and AOE abilities quickly grind down the enemy team. while he may not have an escape, he does not really need one, and if a player is minorly competent at playing Malzahar, they have a great time killing most champions in the game due to the simple fact as he can suppress them. it is very easy to hit his skills so there is not a lot of difficulty cap there, and his over-all damage, especially if he is built like the average mage instead of a tanky one, will kill any person without his ult or a need to get close enough to be killed. my personal opinion in making him balanced, is changing his ult, I do not see a problem with any other abilities, I just believe his suppression, mixed with the rest of his kit, is too strong, I can understand his ult being too weak without the suppression, so possibly raise it's range and make it a slow? or possibly change the ult's damage so it, mixed with the rest of his kit, won't guarantee a kill.

again, this is just a personal opinion and I would love to see some feedback, even possible solutions, or reasons why I am wrong. just be constructive please.

Malzahar gives up having 0 mobility and 0 disengage tools to have the power he has. With all the many champions in this game who have mobility, disengage, or both, it's pretty fair.

In fact, if anything, he needs a few QoL buffs. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/sXvu0LpZ-malzahar-needs-a-couple-specific-qol-buffs

TL;DR: He should be able to cast Q and E while moving (like with his W) and his voidlings need to attack visible enemies when Malzahar dies, instead of sitting still doing nothing or following the "attack" target but not attacking and giving up an easy 12 gold to the enemy. In comparison, Syndra can cast Q and W without interrupting her movement, all the while having an AoE slow, AoE knockback and AoE stun. Her damage may not be as high as Malzahar's, but she does have plenty of it.

malzahars damage is slightly ridiculous however he has very visible counterplay you if you see malz ult someone make sure you cc him right away to stop the ult and he is quite immobile so in team fights you need two people to dive him so one can kill him or cc him if the other gets surpressed qss is a great way to counter also. sure hes a very safe laner cause he can pop his on a wave walk back to tower and get prety good cs but he has very little kill pressure early unless he brings ignite at which point he does not have a defensive summ which makes him quite vulnerable sure his build path gets him ridiculously tanky for a mage. but several champions also have that i.e lissandra annie etc get abbout as tanky as him. in solo queue hes rough cause you cant tell your team to peel him off your ass. I do feel malzahar is broken in solo queue with a 55 percent win rate right now however if you look at his ranked 5s win rate its 48 percent.

I firmly believe Malzahar's solo queue win rate has more to do with the likelihood that he is either only played by Malz mains or is only used as a counterpick. The fact that he is never the flavor of the month goes a long way towards explaining his slightly high win rate.

Buy a QSS. Use it. If you do this one simple thing you'll realize how dumb it is to claim Malzahar is overpowered. Just think about it. If he was genuinely overpowered wouldn't the pros play him at least sometimes? The fact that they never touch him really should tell you all you need to know.
