A Mini-Guide to Avoiding Yuumi's Q

Yuumi's Q is like driving a semitruck: It hurts to get hit by one, but they turn so slow they make elderly drivers look good.

People assume dodging Yuumi's Q is like every other skillshot; move left/right. But it's not. Would you move left/right if a heat seeking missile was tracking you? No, you have to outlive its duration.

Its duration is 3 seconds. The easiest bet is to just hug your minions; if she fires it at you, you can just use them as shields by moving through/around them. However, this isn't always the safest option, especially if they pick something like Sivir or Varus.

Out in the open, don't try to outrun it. There are two things you can do:

A) If she fires it straight, rarely do skillshots ever hit dead-center: Pay attention to what side of your hitbox it covers more of (left or right), then move in the opposite direction. Then chase it the instant it passes you and keep walking straight; it makes REALLY wide turns and by the time she finally gets it turned back to chasing you, you'll either be out of range or the duration will have worn off.

B) If she fired it curved, look at how it's curved and, in a wide circle, play ring-around-the-rosie. Aforementioned, it makes very wide turns which mathematically slows down how quick it will reach you. As long as it continues staying curved, it will usually not catch up to you.
