Kalista Oathsworn ability needs confirmation on recieving champion

Rant Shortening:

I feel this ability allows someone else to forcibly control my character without the ability to say, no. Even if I do in lobby I am often completely disrespected and have this ability forced on me and have no ability to counter it except either stay in base, or completely avoid my lane.

I am not asking for a change in how this ability operates, or what it does. I am asking for the ability to decline being stunned against my will for 5 seconds, and yanked around the screen whenever someone I don't know feels like it. It is a very unsteady feeling for me to be controlled in such a manner like this that I don't even have the chance to dodge it. To me its 1000x worse then any skill in this game that grips. This will teleport you inside this person where you only have 1 option launch yourself somewhere. Unless that person dies before you can do it, then your surrounded by your enemies.

At the start of the game this ability is forced on anyone of kalista's choosing. and You have no way to say well NO. I am petitioning for a confirmation button in order to accept your game to be controlled by another person in this manner, as it violates the person who doesn't want this to happen to them.

imo the real problem is that an ulti like this was OKAYED by the Riot team. How many times have we been told that particular interactions in the game couldn't exist due to this or that, which usually included "you can't make decisions for other people that can alter their control". Like, this entire mechanic is super toxic. You don't get to choose if you get ultied, you don't get to choose if you are chosen. imo they need to clean it up, go back to the drawing boards, and come back with something new.

I'm still reading up on the new champions in LoL, but I came across Kalista's ultimate and I am absolutely appalled by it. It is a violation of the will of the individual player and it needs to be changed.

Your having a problem with deciding where to Ult to is not a problem with Kalista at all, it's an issue with your own decision making.

And binding the support is usually the best option even if they are a squishy back liner, because Kalista's bonus % damage can only proc with the Oathsworn's attacks, and the Ult pushes oathsworn ranged champions back away from the impact point further than a melee one.

If you think it's not safe to engage, then launch yourself the other way. But don't blame the Kalista for how you choose, and ignore the fact that she can save you with the Ult too.

The horror stories I have of being (or witnessing someone else) be that Oathsworn. Malzahar Warwick getting pulled out of their ults, Darius getting ulted right before a dunk so the Kali player can send an auto and get the kill instead, Soraka getting flamed for not sending her squishy, goat body toward the opponents. There was even a whole thread about a support Veigar who absolutely refused to be turned into a projectile.

I hear back when Kali was still on the PBE, you actually could refuse to be her Oathsworn. I believe that was taken away because an alarming amount of players were refusing, and Kali effectively had no ult. After seeing what I've seen, I don't blame the players that refused. Don't get me wrong though, if you have some sort of voice chat with your Oathsworn the ability is one of the strongest in game. But in soloQ? It's trolly as hell. If I had the choice, I'd never be bound to a player I couldn't voice chat with.

I don't want a change, i want a confirmation at least when she does the oathsworn ability, you should be able to click no, yes I get it is an item in her inventory, but that should be discussed in the lobby, hey im using kalista i need one of you guys to pick up my spear. She should not be allowed to have forced control over anyone without saying at the start of the game hey its okay.

I guess your complaint is warranted, but it kind of ruins her whole kit if you actually have to click a "confirmation" button whenever she uses her ultimate on you. That time would be enough to actually kill you or her because you had to click this "confirmation" button. It ruins the flow of the game tying you down with something you don't really need. The best you can hope for is to hope your Kalista is good enough to know when/how to use her ability so you aren't screwed over by it and/or it is wasted. If you REALLY hate it so much, then just don't play support or a role/champion where she will soul bind you, since that is your best bet. I highly doubt there will be a confirmation button feature ever added and I don't think there should be one.
