It's all based on what ranked you were last season. Have fun never leaving Bronze because of Riot's ass matchmaking.
Well, sheeit. I was Silver V last season and I only had played starting towards the end of the season. So now if I go play and even if I win all of my promo series matches, I will still be in Silver, only slightly higher.
...
And people tell me that Riot's matchmaking isn't bad and that it's all my fault. - ___-
I was in silver V (doesnt say on any site cuz i got there after the rewards were handed out), won 5/10 matches and got to bronze 1. So it might have something to do with your kda dont know though.

Edit: As far as i can see you have a really bad kda with allot of champions wich might lower your over all mmr. It might just be that u are not good enough.
Well, exactly what is my kda, if you'd be so kind to share (you can link the website in your next response)? Like I said in another comment in this thread, I don't practice as often I should, but I'm not stupid bad. I have a basic concept with most of the champs and how they should be played and not what, but it's not to the point where I feel confident enough to carry, especially if my teammates aren't doing what they're supposed to do. Because when each of my teammates (this is an example) have 4 deaths, I have like 2, and we only have 3 kills, then I know that no matter what I do, that we won't be making a comeback. So, it isn't all my fault, but I do take some blame.
Here is the link Your winrate isnt really that good with any champion. You have more avrage deaths than avrage kills in the pas 20 games and the only hampion you have a good kda with in rankes shyvana(really good kda with her) but even with that kda you have a pretty bad winrate with her(taking in mind that you have a kda over 3.5)
Well, first of all, I don't play ranked that often. Second, those games were towards the end of the season, where plenty of trolls and not were trying to "catch up" (as was I, so that was mistake by me), so you don't really know what went on in those games. Plus, I don't practice as often as I should, like I've said before. I do still think I'm a decent player, I just have yet to find the right players to play with as well as take my time with each champion. Therefore, I can surely say that my kda will greatly improve by the middle of summer, if not til the end of the year. :o
Thats the worst excuse i have ever heard. Ive been in bronze too and it is so ez to take kills there. Having a bad kda is souly your fault. Not winning games is your teams too but your bad kda is your fault alone.
Again, you don't know what went on in those games. Also, if you compare our average kdas on that site, you can clearly see that yours is 2.81:1 while mine is 3.42:1 as of this moment. So it confuses me when 1) you're the only one so far claiming I have a "bad" kda and 2) you're making this claim that mine is "bad" when yours is lower than mine, despite you playing ranked and me not having done so.
So you know, I'm not sorry at all for giving a legitimate reason to explain my "bad" kda. If you think it's "bad", then I can't help you there. I don't play as much as you nor do we play the same champs the same amount of times, so you're bound to have a greater kda than me on some champs. But that really gives you no right to come on here and belittle me, making it seem like it's all my fault (starting from your most recent reply).
I will say it once more; I know I am at some fault for my kda, by not practicing as much as I should and not taking my time with each champ. I know I've made mistakes in games, like being somewhere where I shouldn't have been or perhaps putting a ward in a better brush than the one I had put in. But that doesn't remove the fact everyone in the game will have some sort of effect on each other's kdas depending on what they do in that game.

I was gold 5 and Get Bronze 2...failed promos to silver 5 twice because of typical bronze bullshit and just demoted to bronze 3.
Your mmr is bad, simple as that.
I was Diamond 1 last season, but the highest division you can be placed in out of placements is Plat 1, no matter what. So I dropped an entire tier because of that.
Which is fine, but its not like you guys are the only ones who have to work to get back to your ranking. If you play enough and are good enough you will get back to your ranking (and pass it if you are good enough) and if you don't play enough then what should it matter to you... if you aren't good enough then you don't deserve it anyway....
but yeah. everyone has to work for it. if you can't beat bronze players then you deserve to be in bronze. but if you are truly a more skilled player you will be out of there in no time.
I did just as well as you
got bronze V
be happy faget
I won three out of ten matches and got Silver 5! :O
If you are better than bronze 3 carry yourself out. In not time you will be getting 20-30 lp per win. I was placed bronze 1 and im silver 2. I skiped silver 4 too.
Hard to carry while Bronze, Silver, Gold, and even some of the lower ranks of Plat are all filled to the rim with trolls and toxic players.
Not really. If your good enough its easy to carry. Plenty of players do it all the time. just the matter of if your good enough to do it.
Then I guess I'm just not good enough to do it. I don't play ranked often nor practice as often as I would like to, so I can't say that I deserve to be in Bronze or Silver nor Diamond through Challenger. So I really can't place any rank on me. However, I do think of myself as a somewhat decent player, but I haven't gotten a real chance to prove myself, even though I try to do my best in every game, ranked or not. At this point, I guess that's all I can do. You know, get in game, type /mute all, and do my best. I can really only trust myself because as soon as I begin to trust someone else, that trust is gone within five minutes.
Nah never trust your teammates. I never trust my teammates decisions. Teammates call drag? If I dont feel right about it I back off. If they want to stay and siege and I know they will be up soon I just leave. never trust always trust your gut feeling.
Chance of having 2 or more trolls are slim. If you can't carry one just teammate, you are where you are.
Well, I can say that you are right on the trolls, as I've noticed in the realm of toxic players that the number of trolls has gone down some. Still, I'm not sure I can carry any teammate if I can't trust them. Why should I try to carry them if all they do is fuck around, make it look like they're listening to me, and then back off, getting me killed as soon as I try to run? There are games that depend on whether my skill will be good enough or not or if I can trust my teammates. And seeing as how I can't trust my teammates most of the time, then I just don't expect to carry anyone, especially if I start to fall behind. Because at this point, the best I can hope for is that the enemy team is worse than my own.
Working with strangers are always hard, yeah, but that's what LoL is. You have to either create your own team, suck it up or find a new game that is less team-reliant.
i went 8-2 and got b4......a slow climb back up to where i was.
wood 3 noob XD
I also went 8-2 and was placed in B1. What were you last season?
Well, you were bronze last season also... so why you are surprised exactly?
I haven't played ranked since S3. What does that mean for my potential MMR, I wonder. So far I'm 3-1 in provies.
4/10 and got silver 3 :]
Went 3/7 and got b4, but I won 7 out of my next 11 games (with Kassadin rip).
i went 4/10 and got bronze 1 hmmm
I know people say that it's based off your MMR, but how does that work for ranked 5 teams? I finished solo queue last season plat 5 but was never in a team before, and this season my team had more wins than losses in our placements and we got bronze 5.
But either way, more wins than losses and we got bronze 5. Wat?
Won 5/5.
Bronze 1.
You will get out of bronze, I believe in you! :D
I have friend who was bronze 5 then got gold 3 winning 4/10 promos my other friend won 6/10 and got bronze 5 how does this work?
