How come ARAM is so hard to play now?

I play ARAM because of the short game time and fun map design, but since when ARAM has become so hard to play. I mean we always get outplayed by the other side, not to mention how good their champs were on that map.

Really wish rito would do something about the matchmaking and champion selection. Or should I just stop playing ARAM AT ALL?
