Runes: How about an Icon?

According to the video, players who bought Runes before this Season were not going to get anything back, but they've decided to at least give us back roughly a third of its original value. This is great comparing to nothing, because players have gained value from the use of them throughout the year(s). However, players who bought Runes (more than they actually use) simply for collection are not considered here. We gain satisfaction from collecting sets of collectables, but our efforts will be lost when the current Runes System is replaced.

So, I would suggest an Icon be given to those players if they have collected at least a number of sets of Marks, Seals, Glyphs, and Quintessences, just like when the old Honour System was replaced. I believe that this would be a more understandable form of showing appreciation.

Note: Players who bought Runes after the Runes Reforged announcement know full well that the Runes will be removed and are at their own fault for buying more than they need.

Personally, an icon isnt going to make me feel any more better than the next joe. Its a refreshing time for league, i mean the honor system was different in the sense that you had to "not be a toxic shit" ( sarcasm ). Yeah im going to miss my rune pages with movement speed and the good ol gold generation pages as much as a jax player and dodge runes. The runes are difficult in its current state to newer players to understand with the many different combos you can craft the beautiful pages. i find it funny that some players want a 1:1 ratio on refund for their runes being bought and used. Take the IP or BE w.e it is now, and move forward.summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4summoner 4

I agree that we should move on when the Runes System is replaced. The post was made in the hopes that Riot would consider giving something exclusive to players who supported the game over the years, because some players won't understand that getting roughly a third of the original value back is already a great compensation. To be honest, you don't really get anything with actual impact with an exclusive icon (apart from "OH YES EXCLUSIVE CONTENT"), but it sounds better than "we're only giving you a third of what you spent" to some people.

"Some exclusive icon is not going to make us feel any better but something is still better than nothing, right?"
