Why do people not surrender obvious losses?

I always seem to wonder, why would you not ff in this kind of scenario:

+20 kills in the enemy team's favour 5+ tower difference against you no map presence always conceding objectives teamfights lead to your team getting aced enemy team has an average of 1-2+ items more most of the team gets oneshotted in 2-3 seconds (even tanks)

what kind of counterplay would there be in this situation?

This is what I hate, teammates voting no just to anger those that see sense and want to ff to get to a game where they have some agency

Because they are trying to learn how to turn those situations around. Or they enjoy playing the game regardless of the situation. I would try taking the lead, but I would just get flamed about my rank, or lack there-of and raged at for the state of the game being my fault. All while they refuse to cooperate, and coordinate to make effort to use the enemys' habits and arrogance against them. They become unresponsive because "oh it's just a waste of my time" and beg on their knees for surrender, they bully other players to surrender, making the situation worse than it is already. Just so they can start a new game to RNG themselves to a win, or throw the same tantrums when things go south. They aren't satisfied unless they have an ∞/0/0 KDA.

No one want to learn from losing anymore. They only feel they can learn anything if they have the biggest dick.

Doesn't matter how bad things look. The enemy is not permitted to win until they have that 50g in their hands, and glass shards in their eyeballs from destroying the nexus with their bare hands.

Because 99% of "obviously lost" situations are easily turned around.

Yeah, in a situation you described, the game's pretty much lost at that point. But that's an incredibly small number of games.

Most of the "lost" games I see are just someone being behind in one lane and ignoring the 10/0 Nasus, 15/1 Kindred, and 23/0 Vayne on their team.

Because I've come back and won a whole lot of 4v5s and such.

Games not over until its over.

Grouping to defend turrets, waveclearing, not leaving base and fighting over farm like a bunch of idiots.

That's the kind of counterplay you have to those bad situations...

If enemy team gets baron, o well ill just q w the enemy cannon minions as tahm kench.

They are trolls, you need to report them so they get banned. Hopefully when more people do this the game will become a fraction more enjoyable to play without that kind of toxic playerbase purposely wasting OUR time.

The "never surrender" attitude is fine if it's ranked.

If you vote no in such a situation in normals (or hell, even ARAM when it's 4v5) then you're nothing but a troll. Only exception: It's the only game you can play and you want to play it out because of that. That is understandable.
