A Question, in regard to Syndra Stun and Combos.

So, not being a thousand percent familiar with every interaction in the game, I may or may not have fed a Syndra three kills as a jungler, because I misunderstood how her kit actually works. What I THOUGHT happens, was that when she pushes the ball, it was the ball in motion that caused the stun. I thought that the ball had to be down then pushed for the stun to take effect. Her tooltip literally says, "Enemies HIT by Dark Spheres are stunned." What happened to me, was that she would throw a ball down, I would gap close past it, but then she would shove me and the ball away from her, and this would proc her stun. I guess it registered as a hit despite me being on the close side of the ball, even though I wasn't hit by it as we traveled. I'm also saw her e and then throw the ball, which still proc a stun, which I thought was weird, but then after some very quick research (youtube) I saw that this is actually a trick for persons who want to learn Syndra. Like this has been a thing for at least 2 years. I dunno, just seems weird to me. I guess the question(s) I have would be, A) What would be the best way to gank a Syndra as a Graves, B) Does anyone else think that the problem I've describe is pretty B.S., as well?

Not getting touched by a ball and getting stunned sounds like a bug. Knockbacked yes, stunned no.

You and the ball get knocked around at different rates, which leads to stuns you wouldn't think would happen. she probably knocked you into the ball as it traveled if you tried to E into it as Graves.

Then again Morgana Nidalee LOLRITOHITBOXES Thresh Lux

The best way to gank syndra as a squishy jungler is to wait for her to use her stun, or bait and dodge it. Try approaching sideways and juking to the side. And try not to go in when she has multiple spheres on the ground if her ult is up.

I'll try to be clear lol

if you are like this (in a straight line) :

Syndra Graves item 3187

then syndra's E will push you to the level of the ball, which will then be moving (and should stun you)

something like graves being on top of the sphere. I dont think this is BS, don't be on the alignement of syndra and her ball, and you're fine. it is her only defensive way.

A Syndra main here - Yes, she has some unique interactions with here spheres that allow for some tricky plays.

If you are between her and her sphere - the knockback first contacts you and pushes you back. If it pushes you back onto her sphere it will then move the sphere through you technically causing the stun. If the sphere is far enough out it should only knock you back. I plan on testing this at some point but something you can do in practice if you own her.

Because the knockback travels away from her with time, she can cast the knockback, then a sphere and still push the sphere just as she can push you and then stun.

As any jungle you have multiple ways to gank her. Some have to be adapted based on your champion.

First and foremost she is mana hungry so deny her blue and gank her when she's oom.

In general wait till she engages your laner and have them try to bait the stun, then follow up.

She is easiest to gank when farthest from her tower. Specifically if you can cross the river and approach her from her own side. Just be careful she doesn't stun and or push you into her tower lol.

Another option is to walk straight at her and flash over her stun. Her voice animation is the give away.

Graves is squishy for a jungle and she won't hesitate to ult you for an easy kill. Get right on top of her as if you were an assassin and it will help panic her to make a mistake. Your dash can be critical to dodge the stun.

Best of luck to you!
