eimerdinger hasn’t seen change to his kit in a while now and many fans are hoping to see some much needed buffs to make him more viable in the mid-lane. Riot has not given details on what these changes could be, but has said in the dev post its hope they'll hit the PBE in the next few days.

No, they didn't. I went and found it for you. They said:

So, a couple things.

Trust me, I want heimerdinger to be revamped too. I love the guy. However, they didn't say they were putting changes on the PBE in the next few days. They almost said the opposite.

more likely he is getting a rework .. not a buff .. he is totally useless against a good player . he is even worst in team battles , he is only good on farming on lane because of his towers i used to play a lot of heimer , i even got him level 7 on my main account , but still very bad champion after an item (i don't remember the name , it was a book which was healing you for doing dmg ) got removed ... i used to play gunblade - book and simply not dying because of the so much healing (towers)
now.. really bad
