Revert Ahri to pre 8.8

This major Ahri nerf, yes nerf not an update - is a disaster.

Removing the movement speed from her Q and giving it her old passive makes it almost useless, not only it makes you wait longer before you can heal as now you can only get stacks from the Q and not all of the skills, her current passive is a cheaper version of Phase Rush that is also absolutely useless. In addition lowering the base damage of her entire kit makes her laning phase even weaker than ever. In this current meta where games are determined before the 15 minute mark and end as fast as 23 minutes on avg there is absolutely no time for Ahri to get enough items to scale.

Dude the changes give her kill pressure at level 2! I have literally poked every laner down to 2/3 hp at level 1 (while csing), then all that is needed is hit level 2, charm, q, ignite, auto auto auto done. Then you get to level 3 and get to add your w into the combo. The changes were only a nerf if you can't hit charm.

You can get stacks from all skills, it's just that only Q can heal when u have 9 stacks.

She gained Damage, she didn't lose any.

Charm: 60/95/130/165/200 ⇒ 60/90/120/150/180 0.60 ability power ⇒ 0.40 ability power This is the only place you could argue you lost damage, but most the time you don't level it 1st or 2nd, so you don't see damage loss for awhile on the base and the loss of 20% AP Scaling (and 20 Lv5 Base damage) is vastly made up if you hit your Charm and then your other abilities.

Spirit Rush: BASE DAMAGE 70/110/150 ⇒ 60/90/120 DAMAGE RATIO 0.25 ability power ⇒ 0.35 ability power

Granted you lose base damage, it's not really going to be felt with the Ratio buff by the time you hit two items.

I would of been happy if she just kept her old passive, but she did have a good amount of sustain in lane and now she just has less, while still having a MS boost.

All in all her kit has more skill expression which is what she needed. She's not super safe anymore and she has actual pre-6 kill pressure.

So here is the problem - Ahri needs to hit her Charm (E) to do real damage. Q's movement speed removal made Ahri:

  • Feel VERY Slow
  • Harder to dodge skills shots
  • Unable to chase someone without R or early boots + movement speed item and / or runes for movement speed...

People complained that Ahri was weak simply because they didn't really play her good enough and most likely didn't even build her the right way... I mean how many people actually used to build Lich Bane on Ahri? Perfect assassin item for a champ like her as well as Gunblade. More than enough DPS and burst to make her strong when she is ahead. Instead people used to build Luden's echo LOL which is just a clear item and not an assassin item at all. Nothing but Movement speed and AP where Ahri needs early CDR, DPS, mana and Movement speed (and Lich Bane has it all). With the right build you have more than enough damage to kill any squishy. Ahri is not a Syndra or a Le blank to 1 shot people. It actually takes some skill to land everything. You can't play 50 games with a champ and complain that it sucks because you don't have enough experience. Ahri is not a tank killer as well. Ahri WAS balanced and only bad Ahri players complained. Instead of taking away her Q movement speed and chase potential and roaming potential RIOT only had to change her W a bit and give it some damage. I want to play old Ahri and not this immobile champion that Riot created. I also main Ahri ( 200 k) and play her just because i loveD her kit... mobile and not broken. Now it's ruined!

Revert Ahri please!

have a Dark Seal, Corrupting pot, boots, Amp Tome.

That should be enough items to scale.

You're playing a mid-game mage. Act like it. Wtf you doing taking a 1-2 item champ to 4 items?

...Looks like someone didn't get the memo that pre 8.8 ahri was dogshit even with the AP item rework. These 8.8 changes were MUCH needed for a champ like her. And that heal wasn't much even as her passive as I recall. Buy corrupting and you'd get better results instead of spamming spells for a shitty ass heal that is only good if you hit multiple targets. The phase rush passive is fine as is. Lets her burst someone out and kill them (or trade blows), and be able to run away without having to use her main damage spell with high mana cost to get away.

I find her way more effective AND fair to play against. She doesn't need a ton of artificial damage to kill now, and she is punishable pre 6/,when r is down
