Attack-Click-Move and Caitlyn

As we all know, you can bind a key to perform "attack click move" which causes your champion to use an auto attack on the nearest available target. This is very useful for kiting through the river and some parts of the jungle, as the nearest target will be an enemy champion. As further background information, I should note that CaitlynCaitlyn's W and E both allow her to fire a headshot from a significantly increased distance to any target affected by the ability.

Now, I would assume that if there are no targets in range, but CaitlynCaitlyn's trap triggers an increased range headshot, that using "attack click move" would automatically target the enemy champion affected by her trap, since it is (presumably) in range for the duration of the debuff. It does not, however. Inseated, Caitlyn will simply walk until she finds something to attack within her normal AA range.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if this is intentional, but if it were fixed, it would make caitlyn's E and W debuffs much less risky to use in many cases. As of now, it's very easy to misclick your trapped target and start walking toward the enemy team; which for an AD carry, means almost certain death.

I noticed this since this new headshot came out, but I couldn't lay my finger on what it was precisely! Just that the attack-click-move didn't seem to work as I wanted with the headshot. Since I learned myself to just click on them again but yes terrible missclicks happened..
