Is honor level 2 even possible before the season ends?

Like the title states I just recently got gold 5 after playing this game for over 5 years and finally riot is releasing a victorious skin I'm really interested in (orianna is my favorite mid laner) but It feels to me like I wont be getting any rewards at all because my honor level is still level 0 checkpoint 3 after over 6 months since my previous restriction. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for me or is it just GG and time for me to find another game to waste my time on?

Not to be rude, but it would definitely be possible if you weren't still being a lowkey ass in your games. You can say you weren't but i went from locked honor level 0 to honor level 2 in like a month and a half, and im honor level 3 right now about 3 months later.

If its been 6 months and you haven't moved, theres probably a reason for that.

Either start carrying every game from now until Oct 12th and hold your fingers crossed that you get max honors from your teammates. #OR

Forget about getting level 2 by the end of the ranked season because Rito made it so that if you got your honor locked just once, leveling up your honor takes 10x times longer than it would normally.

God forbid you get it locked twice which is what happened to me when i was chat restricted twice in a row, and now 7 months later im on Honor level 1 checkpoint 1 #Good thing i don't play Oriana at all...

I was honor level 4 then i got suspended for telling someone the golden words of "kys" and got locked into honor 0. But I am level 2 now. Mistakes happen and people get toxic occasionally. But if you arent someone who uses toxic language every game it should be easy mode

You might still make it running 10-minute Dark Harvest Heimerdinger Intro Co-op vs. AI games, but it would be close and you would need to grind your brains out and not "KS" from noobs or say anything negative when they "KS" you. By my calculations, at 15 minutes a game (accounting for queue/loading time), you will need to grind 6+1/4 hours a day to make it.

Again, let the noobs who are in your games get their kills. You would still get your 40-60 kills and look like the clear favorite for honors even letting the noobs have some kills. I find that by not taking every kill from the noobs, you get honored more often. I have a newbie account I only play one game a day for FWotD (Intro Co-op vs AI) and it's currently Honor 4 Checkpoint 3.

P.S. What I usually do is go Dark Seal to start, then at 2300 gold, recall and get Mejai's and Lost Chapter (with Slightly Magical Boots from runes). That should be all the gear you buy for the game. If you give in to temptation and recall again to buy more on Teleport reset, you will be way too strong and "KS" everything without even trying, which actually gets you less honor. =S

as a player who has also played since season 3, who has never gotten banned or restricted ( to my knowledge, i guess its theoretically possible i was banned or chat restricted,a they they expired before i logged in again, maybe? idk how they work

who has never once hit gold ( although i stopped trying because unranked is so much more fun when i get players much closer to my skill level) i can feel your pain, but a punishment is a punishment.

she does... its called being able to buy a 6th items rather than just 5, and not having to spend any money towards boots

I played 8 aram games a day straight being positive with tons of honor for a week straight.

Still honor 1 checkpoint 1.

so just get honor level 2 for next season... i dont think theres a way this season

The honor system is a load of shit and should be removed. It's far to strict on penalties all together, you can be honor 5, say "Kys" and have your honor locked by 1 report. But then you lose it and it takes twice as long to get to honor lvl 1 than it does to get to honor lvl 5 not being ever restricted.

Honor in this game is retarded anyways. You can be honor level 5 play for 6 years and never get any punishments and literally just 4 games later of not insulting not threateningnot harrasing not saying anything hateful just mild dickishness and if those games get reported baibai.

1 bad day and you get annoyed and lose yiour cool for the first time and thats end of it.

Here are some tips to help you progress faster.

Do not mute all. A lot of people think that simply muting people will get them to honor level 2 fast. You need to be speaking in the game in order to progress faster. A simple GG helps a lot too.
Honoring others matters a lot more than getting honors. How many honors you get doesn't really matter that much in my opinion. However it does matter if you're honoring others because that counts towards your progress, especially if the whole team sends out honors after the match.
Play a lot of games. The checkpoints do actually take a long time to get through.

Always keep in mind that legitimate reports slow down your progress. Now that you're gold 5, I'd switch to normals mode unless your heart is set on climbing further. There's so many people tilting at the end of the season, ESPECIALLY around Gold 5. You don't want to encounter a toxic situation, because even if you're defending yourself, that would be a legitimate mark against you.

0 checkpoint 3 will definitely not hit 2 in time for rewards. 1 checkpoint 2 and 3 are the only non honor 2 people that have a chance at making it, and even then it will be a close call for the checkpoint 2 people.

In my opinion I think Riot should make a patch that help to get honor 2 quick, like a boost of honor xp to climb faster
