BUFFS AND NERFS

Am I the only one that realizes that many champions as a whole end up LOSING so much damage as time goes on? A champion gets nerfed, and it makes another champion look stronger. Then Riot nerfs the new strong champion and another champion arises. The cycle goes on and eventually that champion is much weaker than once that champion was released. If one were to look at the buff/nerf history of champions, you can see that the almost every champion is significantly weaker than when that champion was released. I wish riot would do something to stop the constant weakening of champions. How? I do not know myself. I may not totally understand the mechanics of the game, and I do not know how to solve the issue to my theoretical problem. I'm just putting this out there for discussion, and seeing what others think of this.
