Sion is quietly crying in the corner right now

New champion Kled seems to be a better version of Sion all around. Let's see...Kled doesn't have to die to have two lives. His damage/cc is reliable and his ult has a shield, is easy to steer, boosts the speed of allied champions, locks on to nearby enemy so you can't miss, and doesn't seem to have a global alert when cast. I'm wondering, why would you nerf a champion so that it's clunky to play and then release a better iteration?

Let's see...Kled doesn't have to die to have two lives.

He doesn't get two lives.

His damage/cc is reliable

His only reliable damage is nothing. He can't dual if his W isn't up. If he doesn't have skaarl, he looses access to 3/4ths of his kit and has nothign but his Q and Autos'. His only CC is his Mounted Q which is a tether that can be broken. and only has a slow and sight pull back

Meanwhile Sion gets a huge AoE knock up, a slow from his E and AoE knock up/stun from his ulti.

and his ult has a shield, is easy to steer, boosts the speed of allied champions, locks on to nearby enemy so you can't miss, and doesn't seem to have a global alert when cast.

  1. You dont steer his ult. It looks to be based on pathing so once you set your course you have to go down that path.
  2. It only locks on if you are near a champ to lock on to begin with. If he sets his path and there is no one, he is screwed.
  3. Yes it does have a global alert, unless the horns that sounded when he ulted weren't enough for you?

You kidding...?

Sion is a monster of a tank and Kled is a scrappy fighter...

Are they similar? Sure...

Are they the same champion? Uhh... no...

Is one better than the other? How even compare?
