Hextech Chroma Chest?
Dear Riot!
The idea is getting Chroma shards for skins via lockboxes, but they won't drop from the regular Hectech Chest, but from a Chroma Chest.
You could buy these for 2000 IP, BUT... BUT you will need a Key to open it (a new type of Key). This way, we can earn Chromas for relatively free (but we need to sacrifice a Key Fragment that otherwise we would use for Keys that opens Hextech Chests), but you can also buy these Chests for RP. (the price should be around 125 RP or lower so with a Key it could be fair price if a single Chroma price is 290 RP). It shouldn't be cheaper just because Chromas are cheaper than Skins, because these Chests shouldn't drop champion shards.
New type of key: Chroma Key, you could buy it for 70 RP or craft it with a key fragment (only one, i think its fair). So with a Chroma Chest the total price should be 195 RP.
So if you implement this, you could raise the droprate of Key Fragments, because then you have to gather these for two type of Chest from now on, and this is what most people wants in all forums anyway. Its a win-win! You get more income, and we get more stuffs from Hextech!
**Chroma Shards **should be worth 96 orange essence, and could be made into permanent with 145 orange. You could reroll these shards into a random permanent Chroma. And if there is a reroll i think you should make a Hextech Chroma (for a champ, not for a skin if you know what i mean) that can be made with 3 Gems too or get it with a chance in rerolling 3 Chroma Shards. BTW Chroma Chests shouldn't drop any Gems in my opinion.
With this most people with great amount of IP can spend on Chroma Chests their useless IP and earn some orange essence maybe or get some Chromas.
I heard somewhere that Keys Fragments have a monthly limit at 12, i don't know if that is true, but the curve of the droprate is really slows down at 10-12 in my experience too. You could and should change that for 14-16 and that should be fine.
What do you think? I think its fair for both sides (Riot and players) Sorry for my bad english.
