I have a friend who really only plays Garen even though he was Darius an maokai. I was wondering who else is top that is like Garen and easy to do well with. I want to try to get him to play fiora eventually once he gets better at the game
Quepha2 votesOther juggernauts are Darius, Illaoi, and Nasus. They are melee range with limited mobility and/or cc but make up for it with a ton of durability and damage.
If you want real tanks, then Volibear, Sion, Cho'gath, and Malphite are all pretty simple tank champions with good cc.
I don't know why you'd want to make him play Fiora, that's a completely different style of champion and if he likes Garen there is no guarantee that he would enjoy Fiora.

FantasySniper1 votesGaren and Poppy's [W] are similar, and Poppy's also replicates Garen's speed boost. They both have % health damage, both build AD, both are good at disruptions, and both are very good at focusing the carry. Sion is roughly the same for the same reasons, he just accomplishes it differently and lacks % health damage.

Sire Hippington1 votesOther than darius? Not much, most are either much harder to do well with or rather different from garen, especially in when they are strong. Renekton might work, though Rene needs a more agressive playstyle as he needs to dominate early since he falls of late, while garen is more of a scaleing champ since the rework. Maybe nasus or sion, though both are more reliant on farming properly an are a bit more vulnerable.

Skarner, Hecarim, Rammus, Volibear, and Nunu are also junglers, though Rammus, Nunu, and Volibear can also do well top lane, so if he wants to learn jungle, I highly recommend them. Also, another suggestion, have him run Ghost with the Insight mastery on all of these champions. Why use Flash with a 300 second (5 minute) cooldown to instantly gap close and then possiblty not be able to keep up when you can use Ghost on a 150 second cooldown to speed boost yourself and keep up with them afterwards? And also, if you're playing Hecarim, it'll increase your AD for the duration as well.
