They also used this season to test the new champ select so is there a possibility of Team builder returning?
While the new draft pick is ideal for ranked, team builder was the way to go for people just looking to play for fun. I don't know about you but i enjoy games more when i get the champion i want in the role i want. Ranked is for tryharding so fun becomes secondary to winning so if you don't get what you want then you gotta suck it up and play.
Also team builder had the least toxicity of any game mode because everyone was satisfied with what they got so there were no champ select trolls.
Look at the 
rework. It released this morning. There are people that just wanna play the new . They don't care about LP or anything. They just want to play . So what are those people supposed to do? There are some people that only play league when something new comes out, what about them?
TL;DR:
- Riot has tested new champ select enough
- New champ select is great for ranked play
- Team builder is better for casual play
- Bring back Team builder
