I am in bronze 2 and am trying desperately to climb the ladder, but almost every time I get into promo's I run into smurfs. They ruin the improving aspect of the game. Like please riot. I have had SO MANY promotions ruined because of smurfers. Just putting in the simple option to report someone for smurfing would be great.

when will people realize that matchmaking doesn't treat people in promos any differently, matchmaking just matches you with and against similar MMR people. they may be in promos, they may not be, but nothing about matchmaking changes once you go into promos.

JAGMAG1 votesto my knowledge i have not the few who claimed to be smurfs and tried to carry usually found the team to be to heavy which was frustrating -.- he did fine but our mid and jungle fed hard and our adc had no mechanics at all (i was supporting) and the other game we had a purposeful feeder on our team and the rest of us troll picked trying to force a dodge it didn't happen the guy almost carried us anyways but didn't mange

I have no idea how a "smurfer" can be playing in Bronze, unless they're full of it.
JAGMAG2 votesallot of bronze smurfs lose games on purpose thou so that they can keep the account in bronze. they alternate between smashing bronzies and trolling them others are just there to "punish bronzies"
PL Ordaricc1 votesHappens to me too. I was gold 2 last season for God knows how, this year i started the placements not too long ago and out of 6 games (4 W) i found 4 smurfs in 3 different matches. Even if they are by my side, they still ruin the game, they also are the ones more likely to rage most of the times since we "are not on their level" or simply because they got banned on main and they have to smurf.
PlsTouchMeGently1 votesAgreed. I hate this. I mean, when they are on my team I get a win but it doesn't feel like I really did much for that win. And when they are on other teams it's all I can do to hold out.
Tryhard Mittens1 votesSmurfs are just people playing on a second account. If they are in Bronze, they probably deserve to be there. If you find someone in Bronze who is playing way above their skill, you may be seeing an ELO BOOSTER. This is when someone pays a player to raise their rank. This is also against the terms and conditions, and is bannable if caught. If you check a players match history and noticed they went from a consistent KDA of like 2, and they have been playing with a KDA of 16 recently, they might be boosting.
I highly doubt that you are running into a booster everytime you get into promos, but it seems that people run into something once or twice and see a pattern by ignoring the other 25 times.
