Bronze 5 in an 8/2 promo

I had gameplay scores ranging from A to S+ in all of my games, including the losses.

I had 8 wins and 2 losses in my promos, went on a 7 win streak after my first loss. So I'm not understanding why I got bronze 5? Can someone explain it to me? It even says in my profile page, if you hover over the horrid emblem, it says "Wins: 8 Games: 10".

So please, explain?

Qualifications games are very unforgiving this Season. Most people dropped TWO whole tier (Plat to Low Silver, Golds to Bronze, etc.)

It's not fun at all, maybe you a very low number of normal games playes and had a low MMR for it. It happens alot when you rank for the first time.

You will get out of here very fast if the system was too harsh to you. Stay positive, stick to the same champs, switch champ if it goes, take breaks after losses, mute ASAP toxic players and good luck. IT will be long and not fun getting out of there :X

Your account's stats are tracked in every game you play. So taking stats from all of your normal games it has already created a hidden MMR for you. 8-2 I am a little surprised you got placed in B5, but that just means your MMR was already rated extremely low before you even did your placements. Also letter grade in post game doesnt affect your LP or MMR gains, it's strictly based on the stats you achieved.

This happened to my friend. He was low gold or high silver last season. Went 8-2, carried nearly every game and got placed in b4.

If you were B5 last season, 8 wins aren't gonna cut it.

A lucky provisional streak can't fix 100 games you got wrong.

Bronze is easy I don't see what the big deal is.

Yeah, my biggest problem is the fact that it is bronze. I still wouldn't have understood silver 5, but Bronze is literally ELO hell, as I know from last season. I'll work to get out of it this time though. Looks like I'll have to carry a lot more games than just 8 now.

What's really dumb, is my rank last season was Bronze I and I went 3/7 in my promos. So maybe I should just stop playing with the people I have been playing with lately and start playing for real :P
