Are they ever going to bring back team builder? If not why did they remove it?

RIOT stated that once the new Draft Mode went live, it would replace Team Builder forever. The reasons for it - I don't know.

Dont get me wrong, I kinda like the new draft system, and it looks shiny and awesome. Whoever... Right now everyone , and their mother wants to play Jhin.. Everysingle game is either with duo ADC, or someone trolling because didnt got jhin or a lot of drama...

With team builder u got to play the champ u wanted, in the lane you wanted... even if it costed a lot of time in que... but a least you were able to play w.e. u wanted... which makes life easier every champ release and champ rework; and not only for people who wants to play X champ, but also for people who dont have to suffer through having 3 ADCs and no support, or trolling ppl from the begining of the game, etc.

I dont see why we cant have the new draft system and teambuilder.. they were never mutually exclusive... in fact they kinda complement each other.

This is the main reason im talking about it.

Teambuilder was a way of testing out the idea of role-specific queues, and was the precursor to Dynamic Queue; it was never actually intended to be the final iteration. Riot seems to feel that having both TB and DQ active is redundant.

hmm yea but i the same time i don't get how they think they are anything alike. They are completely different in my opinion.

The general idea was to create a new champion select experience that retained its competitive qualities while mitigating certain negative aspects of the former draft. Teambuilder, while excellent at what it DID do, did not present an effective competitive environment. True enough, you could guarantee your role and even your champion pick; however, there is no feasible way to integrate a ban phase into that. Additionally, there were what some considered excessive wait times to get into a match, which does not translate well into a competitive environment.

TEAMBUILDER

PROS: Guaranteed role, guaranteed pick, reduced conflict over who gets a specific champion CONS: No ban phase, extended wait times, no possibility to create a team composition outside of a premade team

NEW CHAMPION SELECT

PROS: Guaranteed one of two roles, pick intent, team composition-enabled, retains ban phase, reduced wait times compared to certain roles in TB, pick/ban phase involves the whole team CONS: Still some conflict over favored champions, chances of getting your main role reduced over TB (for you mid mains in particular)

This is in no way an exhaustive list, but it's what I came up with for the moment. I should also note that I played Teambuilder almost exclusively when it came out, especially in preseason. I honestly miss it, but I also understand that it was never intended to be permanent. If Riot did decide to bring it back as another normal mode alongside blind pick, or even replaced blind pick with TB, I would not be surprised or disappointed.

Remove blind pick and add in Team Builder. Only reason I play normals is to practice champs. TB was amazing...now i get auto locking players in normals
