Don't play irelia but here's some neat stuff I noticed from fighting her.

Dip into a bush and set your first e blade iut of vision. It makes the stun a lot harder to dodge.

Don't engage unless you have max fervor already.

Preemptively use w right after engaging to soak up initial burst.

The rest comes with experience

I personally feel as though she and fiora play very similarly and I like fiora better

I do. Irelia is a good duelist with lots of damage potential, good wave clear, more durability and better team fight potential.

But fiora is the best duelist in the game(imo) has incredible damage potential that will melt down tanks AND burst squishies. She relies on splitpushing the entire game though because she's too squishy to participate in team fights.
