Best Role To Carry?

I typically like playing support(sona, nami, lulu, karma) the most but for whatever reason I can never carry with it. No matter how high my vision score is or how much I try to carry lane phase, I can't seem to carry carries who can't do damage. My least favorite type of champion to play is melee assassin. I prefer ranged or bruisers. Any advice would be great.

Supports CAN carry. During my first year of lol, I carried myself to gold by spamming Sona. Sona is/was? the squishiest champion in the game, and has a 'meh' laning phase, however she shines in mid-lategame teamfights with her new crescendo passive. You basically outscale every support. If you want to keep playing support, get a duo (adc main), and research optimal builds for sona. (Windspeakers>tdl)

However, I think that this season, the best roles to carry as are mid and jungle, and ADC is the worst (If you aren't duo). As mid/jg just make sure you pressure the whole map, and help as many lanes snowball as possible.

btw what is that icon?

Support is the worst role in the game for carrying in solo-queue, up until you hit the higher ranks where people start understanding the game and all the roles become at least somewhat capable of it. At lower levels, all people understand and know how to play around is damage, so damage supports like Zyra, Brand, and Vel'Koz will serve well. Tanks and pure utility enchanters suffer hard.

Sona and Karma kind of bridge the gap between enchanters and damage supports, assuming you go for item 3504 item 3174 on them (which is an ideal build for Sona 90% of the time, and a strong build for Karma most of the time).
