Capitalizing on Vision Denial (Nocturne, Graves)

I was thinking about this fairly undervalued mechanic in League - the ability to cut down map vision to a shortened sight radius around the affected player(s). When I play or am allied with one of the two characters with this mechanic (Nocturne and Graves), it is very hard to actually capitalize on the advantages that this vision denial gives because there is no feedback for the team with this advantage that clarifies the shortened vision range.

I believe for both skills (Paranoia and Smoke Screen), the reduced vision range is 675 units, but this is difficult to visualize at a glance and players not familiar with these champions probably won't know that.

What I suggest is that champions affected by the vision denial debuff have a feedback circle, similar to Kha'Zix's Isolation indicator, that clarifies their sight radius to both allies and enemies so teams with this advantage can make tactical plays such as flanking ambushes and skirting in and out of the vision range, and teammates allied with the debuffed player (who have vision of them!) know what they can and can't see.

I support this. Good QoL buff.

If only the DARKNESSSSSS lasted like 1 more second... I guess I'll have to wait for a Nocturne 1-for-all mirror match to happen.

The reason Riot doesn't really do much team vision denial anymore is because it's hard countered by voice chat.

Let's have 5 or 6 rings around every champ after level six. With each one being a different color to symbolize with letter of the ability causing it. Jesus

I do agree that vision denial is a very unique mechanic that is incredibly hard to capitalize on without some sort of visual indicator to your team. I would very much like to see this implemented and I think it has a lot to offer champions that use these abilities.

Like the idea. The vision denial is actually the strongest part of Noc ult, except early game when the gank is the most important. But after laning phase the vision denial is extremely strong. You just pop it when a fight breaks out and you dont need to use the dash at all.

I still think the best thing in the world to hear is "Darknesssssssss" follow by "An enemy has been slain" with nocturnes picture popping up as the enemy. That shit has made me laugh since day one, and always will.

Most plays made with Nocturne's ultimate are due to the global dash+nuke, not because of the vision reduction. It's easier to justify buffing Graves' W in this way since it's that ability's primary utility, but I don't think giving it indicators would cause people to play any differently than they already did.

I support this, only so I can spam /taunt in front of my enemies' faces but just outside of their vision radius.
