Still an AP assassin? I don't think so. Definitely not what he use to be anymore. He got nerfed way more then I thought he should of. First the nerfs to lich bane and now his kit. Sure, you can still play him as an AP assassin but not nearly as viable. We wanted him to be balanced not make him a useless champion.
Tsugaga1 votesHe's far from useless, everyone plays him top or jungle now, building BotRK + Trinity and then tanky. He's a very strong top laner now, high kill potential, hard to kill.

No one plays him mid as AP Assassin anymore. He doesn't do more damage than other assassin mids and he is also less reliable. His ult gets countered by QSS, and one item can completely ruin Fizz's damage (even more so than Zed).

Well he said he's a useless champ, but he's not. One item can completely ruin other champion ults too.

Im just pointing out he was created as ap assassin and that's hardly the case anymore. as you stated before hes only good as an ad bruiser. AND even then, he's not that reliable
