An idea to improve solo que in ranked

I understand that League of Legends is about teamwork to achieve victory; but when it comes to climbing the ladder of ranked, that's a solo experience that you're achieving alone in most cases. It's especially rough for support mains who can typically only aid in trying to snowball the game. It's not right to be held back because the people you're playing with can't pick up their own slack (and I'm not just talking about the occasional bad game).

The Champion Grading System could help a lot in nudging players towards the elo they belong in. What if getting an S rank (i.e S-, S, or S+) prevented you from being penalized for a lost match? Getting an S rank doesn't just come with getting lots of kills; there's a variety of conditions to meet.

I almost always get S ranks, win or lose, because I understand what I'm doing; but I've been stuck in Bronze for years because everyone else can't hold their own. I don't think this idea would break the system and it's really simple: -If you win, normal conditions -If you win with S rank, normal conditions -If you lose, normal conditions -If you lose with S rank, no LP or promo penalty

You are not stuck in bronze because everyone else can't hold their own. You are in bronze for only 2 possible reasons:

  1. you get camped by 3, 4 or 5 stack premades.
  2. you are bad.

Since big premades didn't exist before, that is unlikely to be the reason you continue to be stuck in bronze. And looking from your games, I don't see many S level games that you simultaneously lost anyhow.
