Evelynn: to play or stay away?

So I've been playing with Evelynn for a little while now and I've found her to be a champ that I not only like, but that I can build and run well. However, she's awful beginning game. I think I kite with her more than I do anything. I've seen a lot of things about taking her to the jungle, but her nerf makes the jungle harder to traverse. Could I get some solid advice on whether or not I should stay away from her until I'm higher level and my runes and masteries are built up enough for her? I may need to switch to a new champion for now but I'd really like to hear what you guys think.

I would personally stay away from her. She is up there with Yorick in not existing as well as constantly being nerfed. She may be good for a small time but it will never last since Riot seems to dislike her greatly and has always nerfed her into the ground.

The one time I ever seen her truly shine was in URF. That is it, otherwise she will just not exist.

At the end of the day play what you want since that is the point of the game, also if you are in normals no one really expects much so again, play as you please. But if you want to play ranked and be competitive(Which is debatable nowadays since Ranked lost a lot of integrity with Dynamic Q) She is fairly worthless and you would honestly be better off learning a new jungle.

She's fun. Hella fun. She's up there with Shyvana as one of my favorite champs. But as shonjl said. Riot keeps her nerfed to the ground. So unles you snowball you don't really exist all game. However she scales Extremely slowly but HARD into late game so if you get full build it's gg. But in this meta. You WILL lose before them most of the time.

I would advise that you play many Jungle champs. I like Eve too, it's just that Riot is bad at balancing champs like Eve. If i were to put down odds on Riot's rework team messing up Eve it would be 8-1. Watch Bengi and Clearlove play Eve. Eve has to Path the jungle a bit differently.

You should learn how to play:

Rammus because he is a raid boss when he gets a few items Hecarim Because the helicopter pony is fun. Voli Most Bronze to mid Plat have no idea how to deal with a good Voli Nunu If you know what you are doing in jungle, pick Nunu because it is fun making your opponent jungle useless the entire game.
