Stuck in Silver and Toxic
Sup guys,
I've been in silver the past 2 seasons and have yet to make my way to gold. I'm shifting to top because I know when to engage fights my team can win. However, the LARGE majority of the time, while I'm engaging my team is doing nothing but picking their noses. Just like my last game, I set up probably three of four instances where I had four members of the enemy team cc'd and low against a wall (Was playing Gnar). While I'm putting as much damage and cc down as I can, my Graves and Malzahar are just sitting there watching me. At that point, Graves had already blown everything, and I'm assuming Malz's ult was down. Let me know if I'm crazy, but I think Malz and Graves should have been up with me autoattacking and putting down spells even though they were both about 50% health (As I had all but the enemy support against the wall stunned with gnar ult and gnar w). I was full health during that fight and died shortly after I had used all my cc. After the game I tried explaining to my team what they did wrong and what they should have been doing and not gonna lie, raged quite a bit. We could have easily won that game had my team listened to my suggestions in game and actually hit things while I was going ham. Even though I had a really tough laning phase, with a Jarvan ganking me early when I didn't have my jump and a Yasuo roaming up when I tried pushing, I was able to play safe and keep myself in a good mindset for teamfights later in the game. However, it seems that, no matter how good I play individually, my team has no idea what they're doing and they don't know when they should be fighting or running. Please don't give me a cliche answer like 'Maybe you belong in your ELO' because I don't. I match up against many gold/plat/diamond players and I don't dominate, but I never get dominated either. My strengths are in team play, but I think I should easily be gold or plat because of by ability to work with others to make picks, engage teamfights, and my own solid individual play.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions you might have. Honestly, I'm just really frustrated with myself for not climbing the ladder. I'm aware of the fact that a lot of players in high silver can't take criticism on their own play, which is why they're stuck in silver.
