Essential Cloth Armor Start NOT listed under "Laning Starter Items"

Not sure if this has been mentioned before or yet but this has bothered me a bit:

For the recommended items as a "laner" there is no option to start with the cloth armor, yet somehow there is the option to start with the longsword under the recomendations.

Wouldn't the cloth armor item 1029 (accompanied by health potions item 2003 ) be the equivalent of a longsword start item 1036 with health potions item 2003 ?

Just my two cents on the new feature, thanks :)

Edit: Also Flask is missing as noted by Anonagon ty

isn't the recommended start usually dorans' items? I don't really understand what you mean. Perhaps cloth armor isn't the best start. How are they equivalent? one is defensive, one is offensive. some champions do start with cloth armor, but overall long sword and cloth armor recommended starts are only to help the user build into a core item easily (don't look at me aa)

As other people in the thread have mentioned, starting item choices are dependent on your lane opponent. Though Cloth-5 is certainly the best item choice vs. Zed or Riven, it may be entirely useless in other matchups. Unfortunately, the recommended starting items are static and don't take into account your lane opponent. We would rather recommend an item that works decently in all matchups than an item that is great in a few matchups and terrible in others.

Flask is a more glaring omission imo, but I don't think Cloth is any less common to start than Longsword. Don't really know the statistics for sure.
