Bounties given for CS differiential.

I had a game last night and something happened that blew my freaking mind. My mid lane died by the enemy mid laner. A few mins later, after the enemy had only about a 10 CS lead, my mid laner killed the enemy and got a 500 Gold bounty off of it. This is like 10 mins in the game, Cs scores are like 60 and 70 and those two kills were the only ones involved in the lane. How ridiculous is a 500 gold reward for getting a kill off someone who just killed you with a slight CS advantage? Even our mid laner was like, "Wtf, they better fix that sh*t." because we recognize that as a obvious problem with the new change. I hope I'm wrong. I hope both my team and the enemy team missed something about the gold bounty because that's not healthy for the next season.

Edit: 9 min mark. Veigar Jumps from 2.7K to 3.5K for one kill on kaisa.

Must be a bug lol Do you remember which game it was?

Who were you playing? I'll be honest, I suspect there is more to the story than a "10 CS lead" which wouldn't even give you a 50g bounty.

May have been a bug, and I did get the story a little wrong, but the real story is worse lol. My mid laner didn't even die. He killed the enemy once who had a 10 cs lead and got 800 gold out of it. https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2914597657/208919132?tab=overview If you look at the 9 min mark he goes from 2.7K to 3.5K after killing Kaisa. Who had no kills or assists.

Except by checking a replay I can't know what everybody's CS score was at this moment so I'm not sure but, your team did really poorly in terms of CS. She ended up with 67% more CS than the average of your team. I think she was getting a LOT of gold from CS compared to ur team and that would be why your mid got an extra 500g (300g for a kill + 500 as a bounty). Could it be that your mid got some turret plate or something after killing the Kaisa?

If you're interested I'd say watch the Replay. The reason we did poor in CS was because of the Riven was steam rolling top lane and my team was pretty low elo, so farming itself was a struggle for them. After riven got her tower she roamed, and while kai sa was free to farm because riven was rubbing her shlong all over the map, everyone else hugged base. To my knowledge Veigar backed after getting the kill, he was very unlikely to get two plates down by himself. but I assure you, I looked at the farm after I saw how much gold veigar got. the difference was only about 10 CS.

Yeah I noticed that (poor Shen lol). The bounty system works like this: if you got 250g more from CS than the enemy's average (still based on gold obtained from CS) then your bounty get +50g and then another 50g for every +150g (still based on CS-related income). I think 30 CS is about 500g or so. If she had a 500g lead from CS compared with your team's average, she'd be worth 300+150g... still far from that 500g lol she'd need to be 90 CS above which is impossible at 9 min. Something's weird here lol That being said, getting 800g didn't, unfortunately for u, did much to come back in the game. The kaisa was the primary source of income in their team so shutting her down did slow down the snowball but it wasn't enough I guess.

In the games I've played so far, I didn't find the CS bounty to be a big problem to be honest. I'll try and watch the replay tonight If I remember to do so. I'm just curious.

Yea I read how the CS bounty were supposed to math out, it's a lot of IF statements in the code from the way they made it sound in the patch notes. But like you said, I was just completely shocked by the amount so early on. Although the gold didn't "effect" the game outcome, riven was just stomping on low elo in draft, BRAGGING about it btw, I still think it's a problem. My concern is about how it would effect ranked games where elo is "matched." If my top is doing well with 2 early kills and good farm lead and I die mid lane in a close 1v1, why does my mid lane get a 800 gold boost? How is that fair? If anything this just opens up for more flaming.

I think it gives the losing team a better chance to come back in the game (which was kind of lacking tbh). They might tune the numbers down if it appears to be a real problem tho. I think it's only fair that it works the same way than for kills. And now you actually SEE how much you're worth which is pretty cool. You know you're going to be a target lol I really like the idea. Have you ever had these games where the enemy vayne is 0/5 but she starts powerfarming like crazy and in the end she's just a nightmare to deal with because ppl left her farming without paying attention because she's only 0/5? I think you now have more visibility on who is the threat in the enemy team. We shall see.
