Fizz losing identity

I completely understand the need there was for a nerf on Fizz, he was just crazy scary after only 1 or 2 kills, even if behind, but now he is losing his assassin identity. He lost over 50% of the damage on his q, got his w altered/nerfed to where the active does % health damage w/ no grievous wounds. Compensation? A 6 second 20% damage buff to a champion tagged with his ultimate. It's essentially what was done to Kassadin, in regards to breaking his legs, but handing him some crutches and pretending everything is all good. Fizz is now becoming this weird % health damage fighter that is either succeed or fail hard. That's not what Fizz is, yeah it's a secondary option and can be fun at times, but his assassin play style is what I preferred, which is now taking a backseat to this new fighter Fizz. I have to believe that this is just an unfortunate and unintended result of the nerfs, not something Riot is intentionally creating. I'm not saying "buff Fizz, buff Fizz," but something needs to change to bring relevance back to what was his primary play style, assassin.

*edit: A little clarification in regards to the poll, by "preferred play style when playing Fizz" I'm referring to in general, not which one is stronger. So as an example, though AD Fizz seems to be stronger, I do still prefer his assassin play style because it's what piqued my interest and got me playing Fizz.

uh FIzz's identity was a nimble fighter, and he still has that identity...

I actually really like his current fighter meta. A Fizz with a higher health pool and better sustained damage with less burst is exactly what I was looking for. It makes him a nimble fighter who gets stronger as the fight progresses and rewards you for using your abilities to dodge abilities or outplay your opponent as you duel them. It's no longer this ability spam-fest where you R-Q-E someone and Zhonya's. We already have several champions who try to 100-0 you instantly in the midlane (Zed being the prime example). I sympathize and am apologetic for people who genuinely enjoyed the AP assassin, but Fizz is thematically my favorite champion and I was finally able to purchase him and enjoy him thoroughly as an AD bruisier. It was quite fun. Apples and oranges I guess, sorry you're not happy man.

i gotta agree i dont want to have to build ad on fizz i loved him as a ap assasin sure he needed nerfs but seriously nerfing him to the extent he is right now makes me really sad what riot is doing first with fizz than warwick cuz lets face it the new jungle items were pretty strong on him and couldve been touched more than nerfing the shit out of a fine champ that just got lucky with the new jungle items now veiger and kassadin and azir are just nerfed beyond makes me sad what these last couple of patches have done to some of my fav champs

The new Nerfs gave Birth to AD Fizz. Which is like old Fizz basically except he can push down towers now

Uhh fizz is still strong. He's moved towards an ad bruiser and does well in the top lane and the jungle. He does ridiculous damage with his w active.

I see him as an assassin, despite his current fighter meta. Honestly though, I hated, despised even him as an assassin. He would one shot a carry, follow that up with a quick escape, then go back in in a couple seconds. I'm glad he has fallen out of a "must ban" position to me. I hope he stays like this, or worse, honestly.

item 3153 . There, now you deal a bonus 50 + 8% target's missing health + 8% target's current health PER HIT. Manage to land an ult on them first? It's 60 + 9.6% target's missing health + 9.6% target's current health per hit.

Fighter Fizz is a new form of horrible to play against, but at least he can't one-shot you. It takes at least 3 hits usually.

are they planning on changing fizz so he cant just get botrk, devourer, and tank items and still 3 hit squishies as well as take on most tanks to where they have no chance against him? yes u can cc him and focus him but thats still focusing a tank and he can e and dodge the cc if timed right. then just wreck the squishies in the back instantly. not like hes unstoppable but hes pretty op and prolly needs to do something about his w botrk mix
