I am silver one and for some reason i keep getting matched up with plat players it is hurting my lp because obviously im not plat if i was i would be in plat, and it just sucks having to keep fighting them i feel like im at a disadvantage why does this keep happening?
jaymc11301 votesThis is what happens when Riot introduces DQ and the average gap between highest ranked and lowest ranked player on a team triples in every elo range for a season. Nothing you can do but beat em.
Good news? Platinum players are fuckin terrible. Low diamond players are terrible. They are about as talented as an unlucky high silver level player. Easily beaten.
Dukues1 votesYea idk man I just have gotten used to it. I just look at plat-low silver as the same thing and just try my best. Been winning more than losing so its been alright for me.

DeathBurst1 votesMaybe your MMR is around Gold 4, and the Plat players you see are stucked in Plat5 0LP and have a MMR around Gold 2, and suddenly that doesn't seem strange to see both of you in the same match.
Anyway, blaming the match-making is kinda pointless and will only demoralize you. See it as a positive sign that if you are matched against them, you must be close to their level, so you should climb in the long run ;)
I hate my ADC1 votesBecause you are rocking a 62.5% win ratio in ranked and your MMR is thru the roof. A win for you probably gives you around 25+ LP while a lost only cost you around 15 LP. The matchmaking is making you face higher MMR players to keep you from roflstomping every silvers and low golds because you are considered better than your current rank by the system. It is trying to make you face people of your skill level. It is also giving you more LP so you can reach your appropriate rank faster.
Keep winning like that and you'll probably reach around plat in no time.
