I personally think that they are adding too much into the game. Part of the reason why league is so popular is because all in all it actually a fairly simple game to start. I am a little skeptical about the flowers in the jungle and adding a new stat is completely unneeded and just makes things more complicated. Let me know if you guys think any other changes aren't very smart or give me contrasting thoughts. I'm interested in everyone's feedback.

As strange as it may seem the new plant system in league isn't much of a change at all compared to what we currently have because of the removal of smite buffs.
Scrying orb = Raptor smite Buff
You rarely notice the impact of each plant because of the long respawn timer ranging from 5:30 - 7 minutes however they do impact the game slighting such as easier mobility through the jungle.
The new stat Lethality is the reworked version of Armor penetration that reduces assassin snowballing and increases there late game effectiveness.
