Heal and Shield ...... Balance team went a bit too far

Honestly healing and shileding are core points in the game, but now it's just too easy to access, and overabuse, them. Expecially since no solid counter is present in the game ... Grievous Wounds has never been a solid option and always lacked itemization ...

pzl avoid the comment: " use summoner 14" .... i play this game from the beta, and i know what ignite do. I'm pretty sure a single target spell with high cd won't prevent a properly builded janna , a raka or a Karma etc.... from overhealing/shielding a whole pt ... it's not even usefull vs a Xin with CoC

I, honestly, would like to see at least 1 of the following:

  • An item or a skill ( on the next supp champ maybe ) that instabreak a shield
  • A raise on the cap of GW proc on item that have it as passive
  • A new item/skill that prevent a target from receiving any shield/heal for the duration of the debuff
  • A better balance on champ that have access to high form of heal/shiel considerating the new items added to the game

Remove grevious wounds, balance healing accordingly.

For shielding, I believe they are fine, considering the amount of damage we currently have.

Instantly breaking a shield would invalidate like 90% of the roster.

Shield are prettymuch the only way to survive the ongoing damagecreep. Don't remove the bad medicine if you won't/can't cure the desease.

I think the main support items (Redemption/Locket) are overtuned right now. We'll see if Riot addresses those. As for kit shields, I don't think they're too out of line. Perhaps the %increase on heals/shields is a bit much though.

we need abilities that ignore shields for counterplay, shield supports shouldn't get to protect you unconditionally now that so many champions have delayed damage and need to do something before they can maximize their damage

I have always felt that ignite should ignore shields and tick directly to true hp and if you lose all your true hp you die regardless of the 1.5k janna/karma shield on you, because if they couldn't shield you in time to avoid the initial damage they don't deserve the right to prevent your death.

Here's the problem: Supports are being balanced TOO much around protecting and defending because no one wants them to do anything else anyway. Now we have an overload of that and hardly anything else.

No, you can't nerf heal/shield without replacing that void with something. Enough people already don't support.

An item that instantly breaks shields is a horrible idea. It would be an absolute gutting to anyone who relies on a shield, making some of them completely unplayable. Karma Janna Ekko Evelynn Ivern Lulu Lux Malphite Mordekaiser Morgana Nautilus Poppy Shen Skarner TahmKench Urgot

That's like saying "Auto-Attackers are doing too much damage. To fix this, we are going to add a new item that applies an irremovable blind to the target for 5 seconds."

A "Shield breaking" item fulfills no gameplay fantasy, while it negates the entire purpose of many others.
