Possible Solo Queue Changes

In my opinion, most of the frustration with promotion series comes from the ease of demotion relative to them (i.e I can go on a 5 win streak after being demoted and find myself being demoted again for losing a couple in a row). A couple of changes to make promotion and demotion more equal would help relieve this frustration.

  1. Remove innertier promo series- Rather than having to win 2/3 games after already reachiing the top of a division you would simply need to win just one after reaching 100 LP. Considering demotion occurs after losing just one game at 0 LP this more fair than the current system as promotion is the converse of demotion.

  2. Demotion Series- As for intertier promotions, I believe the current 3/5 win promotion series is fair as it current stands. Demotion, however, could use a change to make it more of a converse to promotion. Just as you activate a promotion series upon reaching 100 LP at the top division of a tier, you would activate a demotion series if you reached 0 LP at the bottom division of a tier.

This is what I was thinking as well. Either keep the promotion series the way they are and add a demotion series or just get rid of promotion series all together (except when going from one tier to the next Ex: silver to gold). The problem is, I am sure the high elo, (challenger, master, diamond) players do not really mind the system the way it currently is. Since riot basis most decisions on how this upper 1-2% feels, nothing will probably be changed :(

Like i have been promoted to silver 2 7 tiimes and demoted to silver three 8 times over the last year. I have probably been silver 3 100 lp in my promo like 18 times. I mean i do find it annoying getting demoted over & over again, but the main reason it is so heart breaking is it is so easy to get demoted but takes so long to get promoted. In the end, you are playing roughly the same players so it's not like it will change the climb so much. Just would make it less demoralizing.
