So i get the whole it would be possible to abuse and this is more of a venting thing but why is it when i have 2 afks i lose 19lp? what was i supposed to do? i know they are putting a system out to fix this but thats only for if they dont connect at the beginning . So why if in less the 3 minutes i can have 2 afks and still lose 19 lp?

I am sorry for you, that is very unlucky. Report them at the end of the game, hopefully they are going to be punished. Of course only when they did this frequently.
thing is if this could happen at any point during a game people would abuse the system so its best left alone for the most part, the first 3 mins thing although i agree its a short window generally its the least impactful window.
