Do People Even Care Anymore?

There are players openly admitting to buying accounts, to getting themselves boosted, to people constantly flaming each other, to people who purposely feed and throw games because they felt like someone didn't deserve a win. I do my best to report these type of players--and I hope my teammates do as well--but the enemy team just leaves basking in their victory and I can't help but feel helpless... I'm pretty sure this post is going to get flamed too because I'm being "overly sensitive over an online game", but still...I just want to feel like the reports matter. I guess there's really no point to this post beyond a random player complaining, but I'm currently Silver and dealing with a constant loss/win back-and-forth due to these types of behaviors. Of course, it's not to say that I'm "perfect and make no mistakes;" I fully understand that I'm not a good player and need to make a lot of improvements.

Personally, I started to understand that my play-style was what's been holding me back, so I've been focusing on that. But still, there are so many toxic people in this community who find it super funny to lose games for other people, or just love and enjoy causing chaos by flaming someone for absolutely no reason. Yet, they never seem to get penalized. Out of the ten+ reports I do a day (Silver is hell, I promise; I'm not just reporting for the sake of reporting), I barely get a response for one. Not to mention that being on any type of winning streak just makes me super anxious because I know an onslaught of losses are heading my way. I thought getting into Gold or Platinum may make things better, but apparently there are trolls, feeders, and flamers all the way into Diamond (some even vouched that they are abundant in Diamond as well).

For someone who's attempting to get better at the game, or even trying to just enjoy themselves, this is all demotivating... I guess that's all.

This is what happens when Riot allows a toxic environment to fester for 6+ seasons mate.

They literally allow trolls, intentional feeder, griefers, and afkers to continue to play the game.

Meanwhile any one who gets upset at having one of these toxic players on their team in chat in game gets punished for being "toxic".

That's just how incompetent Riot is as a company mate.

You want some real talk? Some not sugar coated truth? This is a shitty game by a shitty company and no one, ever, under any circumstances, should ever play it or spend money on it.

We all only play because its an addiction. League of Legends is basically internet cigarettes.

You are exactly correct.

In this game, it is more risky to be the person reacting to trolls/flamers than to be the troll/flamer. Due to Riot's "It's not what they said/did, it's what you said" policy, the person dealing with the usual crap will always be the one punished first. Riot's the type that would see someone robbing your house and then jail you for assault when you knock the guy out who is stealing your shit. Riot basically expects you to mute everyone who says anything in the game and have the temperance of Barney the Dinosaur to survive.

Riot's other policy of "it's not only what you did this game, it's what you did in previous games" also ensures that when Riot goes fishing for ban justifications, they will find something. Just see the guy who got banned for only saying the word "Draven". Doesn't matter that the report was bullshit, Riot went fishing in previous games and will stick to the ban.

It's totally true that most people only play due to an addiction to the game. Other people have compared it to an abusive relationship and it's on point. You want to get a good game in? Someone on your team trolls or leaves, making it a 4v5 and ruining the only game you were going to play. Now you got to play again just to get the bad taste out of your mouth. You tell yourself, ok, next time it will be better, then it's not. Then you look at ranked where it's a system designed to ensure you do not rank up without insane winstreaks(I had a 67% winrate and still needed 100 games from B5 > S5) where you lose double the points you gain, if you didn't already dodge due to a troll, which makes you lose more lp.

I legitimately think most people queue up not to play, but to let out anger/frustrations from the game and real life. Even looking at these forums will tell you this when the same 10-20 people do nothing but rip on people and downvote for karma all day in the player behavior forum.

Pretty much, Riot gives the criminal a medal for committing a crime and then locks the victim of the crime up for a 20 year sentence. Then Riot wonders why toxicty has been so persistent for so long that they have to lie to us all and tell us things like "only 5% of the playerbase is toxic". I just can't help but laugh at that absurdity. Does any one even take that statement seriously? 100% of the player is toxic. 100%. It depends on the circumstances that cause them to lash out as to how much they lash out and how often, but 100% of the player base is toxic. I get one of those little pop ups that a player I reported got banned every third or fourth game for 2 years now. Its getting pretty old seeing that pop up. CLEARLY my reports are doing nothing, the community is NOT improving, and Riot just as clearly doesn't care.

Riot's other policy of "it's not only what you did this game, it's what you did in previous games" also ensures that when Riot goes fishing for ban justifications, they will find something. Well lets be fair here, the automated chat system, after a plethora of early hiccups and false positives, is now pretty much 100% accurate. I've received several punishments over the last 3 years due to the automated chat system. And you know what? Each one was deserved. I was being a fuckin ass hat to some one else. Did it MATTER that the person I was telling off was a troll who was intentionally feeding with disco summoners? No. That person likely never got punished for creating a toxic situation, but it doesn't change the fact that I was complete ass hat to him. 100% of my punishments in 6 season have ALL been due to me becoming upset at some one in my game trolling (not even always on my team! I get JUST as mad when an opposing team's player trolls. Ruining a game for 9 other players should be an immediate and automatic permaban. Intentionally causing grief for your teammates should 100% result in a perma ban, first offense, every time. THAT'S how you get trolls, afkers, rage quitters, griefers, and intentional feeders to stop. Back when tribunal was up, we, the players, were actually very good about removing those types of toxic individuals from the community and season 2 and 3 were far less likely to have trolled games even though they still occurred), absolutely every time, every punishment, proven by chat logs, I was indeed provoked into acting like a tool.

It's totally true that most people only play due to an addiction to the game. Other people have compared it to an abusive relationship and it's on point. You want to get a good game in? The problems with ranked are too immense to go into. We have NEVER had a quality ranking system in this game, we have ALWAYS used ELO, a system designed for chess, to determine rank for League. Which, of course, ELO is entirely incapable of ever doing. Its a system designed for individual on individual competition, every decision an individual makes leads to a win or a loss, so only accounting for wins and losses in chess, or MTG, or other similar games is a very accurate way to measure an individuals skill. In a TEAM game, you HAVE to include a persons individual performance, what actions they took, what actions they didnt take, SOME amount of their individual skill set has to be captured and quantified to ever had a system that can rank individuals on a ladder for a team game. It's pure lunacy to try to rank individuals according to skill without ever taking into account an individuals skill... That's like... just... common sense. Not that Riot as a company has any... (Which is not to say that the individuals who WORK at Riot are bad people, these are good people, who work hard, who put in the time, effort, and energy to do something well, and then ultimately have the administrators at the top say "nope, we can't make enough money if we do things like that, not gonna happen, we're going a more lucrative route and fuck the players")

So sure, ranked is frustrating because of all this, but why are NORMAL matches EQUALLY frustrating if not MORE SO? Shouldn't it be the other way around? This I just cannot explain. In fact, for years I have played ranked almost exclusively because I was LESS likely to get trolled in a ranked match, I was more likely to have a fun time, and it was going to be less stressful. And therein lies the problem with this game, the FUN game modes ARE NOT FUN! EVER! No enjoyment comes from them because everyone wants to act like a douche all the time in them. That leaves ONLY competitive modes being enjoyable, and those still have serious and significant issues (and have for years) with a lack of competitive integrity and a very poorly designed ladder system. This is what causes League to become an addiction for so many, it lacks the ability to entertain, and so it becomes a chore, or even for some, a vice.

Thanks to that little bit with Regi and MonteCristo shit-talking the current pro scene and Tryndamere bungling it even more, even the RIOT ass-kiss brigade was on pause for a while to let way for the people that don't like the business practices of a company that started shady (Pendragon taking down one of the biggest DOTA forums to put up a League ad in its place, the old League ad that shit-talked DotA, saying that DotA is a game that hasn't aged well and is filled with incredibly poorly-thought out mechanics with no place in a modern game) and continues to be such (current competitive practices, very questionable balance philosophy "Sejuani had her time in the spotlight" while Lee Sin ran rampant for 3 seasons, and so on).

that statistic is probably true:

there are 10 players in each game and if 5% of the playerbase is toxic, 10 x 5 = 50% of having a toxic person on your team. couple that with dynamic queue premades, unintentional and intentional feeders, the ocassional i-don't-communicate and the games where you do badly, almost every game is going to be a negative experience

Well if you mean roughly half of all games ever played will be trolled, yeah, that's accurate. I have 35,000 some odd matches of proof, about 17,500 of them were trolled by toxic players over the last 6 seasons. How many of these toxic players were properly punished? Probably only the ones who were abusive in chat. So not very many in the end.

I don't believe you can blame Riot. You'll find this same kind of environment in any Moba.

I believe it is something unique to games where an individual's fun and success is tied to 4 other strangers, and only a few mistakes on their part can throw an entire game and completely waste 30-50 minutes of someone's time. The length of the game, and how unforgiving mistakes can be, make the sting of depending on unreliable teammates even worse than it otherwise might be.

Shooter games don't usually have this problem. You can be on a team of 20 other terrible players and completely lose the match but still feel like a hot shot because you've got the top KDA and had fun winning on an individual level. Your success and fun don't depend that much on how your teammates perform, so there's not much incentive to get mad at them and flame them.

Of course we can blame Riot. They have all the power to implement the changes we have asked for as players for 6 seasons. One of those being the removal of trolls who deliberately create a toxic environment that leads to a vicious circle of toxicity. You know what change Riot made? They removed the tribunal, which had been doing an ok job (not great, but not awful) at removing that type of filth, and replaced it with a system that removed those who now get UPSET about having the troll on the team.

Riot LITERALLY eliminated a system we had that helped players remove toxic people from the community and replaced it with a system that helps toxic players eliminate the players they troll from the community.

There is literally NO one else TO blame for that...

If there a system they can implement to stamp this out then I'm all for it. But my point was that it may be impractical for us to expect that any system can deal with the sheer volume of rage that a game like this induces. You can minimize it, but you can't realistically expect to eliminate it.

This is a problem in Dota too. They have an interesting way of dealing with it. You get a lower priority for queing up for games, and you are only teamed up with others who have low priority. You can't do ranked. That is a funny way to do it, because you would think that having to play with other toxic or trolling players is likely to only tilt you even more rather than improve your behavior, but maybe you learn and decide you don't want to play with people like that.

This is certainly a valid point. My only issue would be... If it takes too many resources for riot to spend enough time weeding trolls out of the game... Then why would they also remove the system that allowed players to do that job for them at a cost of basically zip!?!!?

Yes, it is difficult to weed all those types of players out, so give us back tribunal already and let us help in that matter. Let the players pitch in and do their part to improve the community. Refusing to take this course of action is the decision from Riot that is questionable.

And we certainly can blame them for that type of poor decision. Even if we need to understand the circumstances and only blame them an appropriate amount for that failure.

There has been claims about a new tribunal system since the implementation of the tribunal system. When I first started back in 2012, they said they would be creating a newer tribunal system to trump the old and have a more player-oriented system of justice...then they got rid of the tribunal system and gave us the system we have today.

I honestly believe there needs to be a basic skills training you need to pass in order to enable rank ques. "NOT difficult, I may add" like a standard, very basic CS test you need to score on. I can't really think of what else could be implemented but something needs to gate and force "trolls" to make a conscious effort in queing up. Not just queing for the lawlz and not caring about their elo whatsoever.

Another good idea would be to implement a ratio to the grade you get in the game, connected with the amount of LP you get and or lose. Basically, people are very bad at this game but they got boosted, or bought an account, or after the elo reset, decided to level a new account and got lucky in their provisionals, so now they are in gold/plat elo when in reality they possess many bronze characteristics and traits, terrible positioning, inability to CS, inability to perform in any actuality, just loly-gagging around the Rift clicking buttons and getting carried by people who are actually good at the game and are trying to climb. But there are SOOOO MANY players in this elo that they sort of stay there, win lose, win lose, lose lose, win win, lose. Never climbing, never leaving. Because even though they were 4-14 with 150 cs in a 47min game and won, while their other lanes or someone specifically was just RUNNING the map, securing objectives, pushing lanes, "DOIN WORK." But that the end of the match, they both receive "21 LP" or maybe even less for the guy who was carrying because his ELO may have been a tad higher.

TLDR because my mind rambles too much with the above paragraph. There needs to be ingame performance connected with the LP to receive or lose at the end of a match. You shouldn't get to stay in the elo you were boosted to, or bought the account in, simply because good players carry you and give you a mixture of wins and losses, when you yourself consistently do not perform well nor do anything to contribute to an actual victory.

Eelxela2 votes

I suggested a preliminary qualification method back in 2014-ish, but everyone said that it was unnecessary and that everything came down to me playing like crap. Of course, they weren't wrong because--once I completely blinded myself to the mistake of others and focused on my own gameplay--I realized a lot of the losses were my fault. Still, as impractical as this type of qualification may be, I would like to see an initiative to put something in that would somewhat provide a relief to certain aspects of this community. The day the elo resets and I don't get three+ games of AFKers will be the day I will finally be able to die a happy man.

It is astounding how many people are proud to admit that they're being boosted, are boosting, or have boosted other accounts. Honestly, I feel like there's enough resources to limit the creations of accounts; however, I also feel like it would be impractical in action. Still, when someone in your game says, "I'm a Diamond ELO player; that's why I have 24/1/0. But, because you pissed me off, I'm going to go feed the enemy." You just can't help but feel there is absolutely no care and/or effort to provide a remedy.

ive encountered a diamond azir main in mid gold at the start of the season who openly admitted that he was playing on a friends account to boost him. he didnt even realize he was doing something wrong or why it was wrong even when we told him hes a scumbag and boosting is illegal.

to this day riot didnt give me any feedback that the guy was banned like they did in other cases where i have reported people for being toxic, and checking into the account a couple weeks later, he was still playing.

if riot cant react to such a painfully clear case of boosting, then the ranked ladder cant be taken serious.

And you are absolutely correct: the fact that many people don't see their error in scripting, boosting, and/or getting boosted is just crazy. I figured moral compasses applied to every human-to-human encounter situations, you know? Hell, if I learned anything from philosophy, it was the fact that men were born with an innate sense of guilt, the ability to identify the righteous, and the ability to decipher the error in their behaviors. I mean, I can see it from Riot's perspective: everything will end up balancing itself out once the player gets back on their account to play. However, I feel like they need to also see the slippery slope of disregarding such acts because it also drags down high Gold, Platinum, and Diamond players whom put in maximum effort to achieve their ranks.

No diamond player does that mate. None of us will ever do that. Reaching diamond requires a certain type of mindset and attitude. Part and parcel of that is to never troll a ranked game just because some one displeases you. If some one does that in one of your matches, odds are, they have never played in diamond. They don't have the correct mindset for it.

There are plenty like myself who will apologize after a game for beating up on lower level competition, but many of us also feel a moral responsibility to try to maintain what tiny semblance of competitive integrity the ladder still has (if any at all) and tend to spend as little time in lower elo's as possible (so that we affect and ruin as few games as possible for others) as well as handicap ourselves so that the skill gap is more fair (I make new one trick, unranked to diamond accounts every season to learn new champs) by doing things like only playing a champion we are bad at.

In lower diamond I've gotten plenty of people who openly troll or leave a game for small bits of actions that happen. In my mind though I like to pretend that only the people who were boosted to diamond are the ones who do this and not the people who earned the rank.

Perhaps saying never was a bit too extreme. It is REALLY unlikely diamond players, true diamond players, would troll deliberately to cause a loss, it's just not part of our mindset. We just don't care enough to troll, hell we barely care about winning. Not caring and focusing on playing a tight, crisp game is the mindset that allows to reach that level of play.

I would probably agree that all or most of those low diamonds who troll in said fashion are le boosted animals. Lol.

You will be told you're bad at EVERY level of play, no matter what. Especially now that DQ boosting has let a lot of bad players into the higher elos. Very Hard Engage3 votes

people really dont care. there is no differentiation between ranked and normals, and the people who play ranked are those who believe "im level 30, im supposed to queue into ranked now"

competition died outright with dynamic queue and its solely a ladder used to get end of season rewards.

there is no meaning to it anymore.

Eelxela4 votes

See, this is the type of reason why--to me--any competitive edge in this game seems to be dying. It's like an abandoned child syndrome (disclaimer: not calling the player base a child, but making an analogy): the parent (Riot) leaves the child (the player base that's not professional and/or streaming) for extensive amounts of time until the child just grows to understand that their surrounding is lawless. They explore into the taboo by calling someone a racist remark here and making fun of someone's mother there. They see that there's no active punishment to their actions aaaaaaaaaand suddenly everything is free game. Personally, I enjoyed the addition of dynamic queue because it gave me the ability to play/practice with my friends without having to play a ranked team game. Hell, it felt even more pro-esque than the actual ranked team games because we got matched with people clearly our elo instead of an army of under-performers and over-performers. I just always assumed that going in as a dynamic queue meant that we were getting grouped against other dynamic queues though; that's the only way the addition made any sense to me.

Very Hard Engage3 votes

why would you play ranked with your friends when you can play normals, dynamic queue has never offered you anything new that you couldn't already do

" well because we got our butts handed to us by the 5man diamond team that we just HAD to play against because they were the only other 5 man in the queue at the same time. except dynamic queue made it fair! see how much better it is! "

the simple reason being you are now egged into doing it, because now you can get things you previous could never have hoped to accomplish, a bronze player can get a victorious skin, a gold border, bragging rights, along with any other end of season rewards. things you just cant get from normals.

you gain nothing from normals, you gain everything from ranked.

Eelxela2 votes

For me, there were many reasons to this: my main reason for dynamic queueing is because I deemed a certain role so demanding that I just couldn't trust the random people in solo queue. The games where every lane wins except your mid lane, or vice versa for bot lane, you can't help but attempt to fill that role with someone you personally know who can fulfill it better and somewhat guarantee an easier/funner game. Plus, it's not like we all get onto TS, Discord, or Skype, or any kind of voice chat that could make the game any easier for us. It's just more satisfying to have a mid and an ADC who you can count on.

Eelxela2 votes

Because you don't rank up in normals?

Very Hard Engage3 votes

exactly my point, the attitude you bring with your friends into ranked is wrong, and it drags any solo player you match up with down.

you aren't trying your best and doing what you think will work. you are casually playing with your friends. im not saying thats wrong. but im saying it doesn't belong in ranked.

ranked is a place for you to seriously play, be competitive and do your best. its not a place which assigns roles for you and your friends.

you may bring a team with you, not your friends.

"OOOHHH SHIZZNET!! ROBBIE YOU OK MAN, IM COMMIN FOR YA!!!" (hes long dead, you dive in 1v4 and just get blown up)

i used to bring my twin to duo with me back in solo/duo, I would try and get mid, and him adc, the 2 important roles. the only help or thought we gave eachother was "whats his KDA / CS" "how big is he, what can he get away with" he wasn't even a factor. do you know what our win rate together was, 92%.

thats because i treated him like any other player and i removed a bad adc from my team every game just by having him fill, its not that he was better than the elo we were in together, but rather the enemy team was forced to have a duo, and we would take advantage of the fact that they were trashy poor decision makers. removing 1 bad player is powerful. bringing Joe with you makes things worse.

So, by your theory, we're assuming that I'm bringing players along to make bad decisions and to casually mess around? While you and your friend were there to play to win? Do you not see the error in what you're assuming here? I specifically said in my prior post that I bring in my friends who know how to ADC and Mid so that I wouldn't have to deal with someone feeding as either of those important roles. You're making the assumption that I treat them any differently than random players when--in fact--having them on my team allows me to gank top a lot more and feed our tank because I know that my mid-laner and my ADC would both be competent enough not to get overly greedy and feed the opposing team kills.

I'm glad what you did worked out for you: I'm currently trying to do the same for myself, but my friends have a different play time than I do. We have very high win rates together and fill no more than three roles (including myself) so that we wouldn't deprive the solo community of the opportunity to play with a pre-made. Your criticism was well received, but I'm going to need you to sit back and reassess everything that you're stating. The idea that "my duo queues will always win" and "everyone else's duo queues are there to be filthy casuals" is a really toxic mindset.

Very Hard Engage3 votes

you say that, and lets assume its true (its not, you and your friends are not actively climbing or doing better than average than those you are current grouped against) ((you're all relatively close to 50% win rates))

but the issue here is you're bringing someone whos 2 divisions down, or up from you. and you're forcing them to play against better opponents than yourselves. your team mates cant help but feed, not because they're bad, but because he just so happened to be silver 3, and matched up against someone gold 5.

its not his fault the enemy team picked lucian first, and got an early lead over your teams ADC, that cant be helped.

when you take this whole big pregroup of yours, look at it. you guys aren't all the same rank, and you're going to go up against a team that also isn't all of the same rankings either.

you are playing roulette here each and every time figuring who can get the biggest gap in skill in some lane and snowball with it.

my personal issue with DQ is that you guys join up, lets say you have a 50-50 win rate together, fine. ill take it. skill aside, lets say matchmaking works and does its job.

your group, will ignore me 100% of the time if i start "barking orders" at you.

i can word it as nicely as possible "guys, were going to need baron to end the game, grp up here... ping ping"

and 8/10 groups will flat out ignore me (as they've done the whole game anyway, as im not one of them), 1 group will rage at me how im the fill member of THEIR team, and the last group will actually do it.

in solo q they would just go for baron, no questions asked.

I'm just going to end the conversation here because it seems to be getting farther and farther from the original topic posted; however, I will leave you with this. I have not blamed anyone for purposely feeding: I understand--in solo or even with my "pre-made group" of three that you seem to have a vendetta against--that people will have bad games, bad match-ups, and just plainly get outplayed. My topic here was to target those that purposely lose the game by throwing because they felt like it--or felt like they had the right to cause a loss because something rubbed them the wrong way. It is also here to address the issue of people who purposely go into games hoping to lose it for the rest of the team by abusing the /remake system (i.e. being there, but sitting at base so that the other players can't leave). Finally, it is here to address those that feel like the game is a loss and refuse to participate even though there is a clear chance to win--just because they feel like surrendering and the rest of the team won't agree to it.

As for dynamic queue and the issues following alongside the concept, I get where you're coming from. However, I still remain steadfast in the claim that your overall view on pre-made team games is toxic. No matter what you say, it's just going to be followed and/or reinforced with an 'assumption' that people who group together will always only stick together. I'm assuming it's because you've had to deal with these players a lot in your gaming experience; hell, I've dealt with some of them too. Still, I'm not going to blame a system that allows me to have more comfortable games for my losses. This topic isn't here to address the flaws of the actual game mechanics--beyond the reporting and penalization system--or the matchmaking system of dynamic queue. It is here to address the issue of the toxic players in the community, and the players who find it necessary to make their team lose over petty--or even non-existent--reasons that don't get penalized because the enemy team didn't care enough to report after their victory.

I've already sized you up. you're 30, so you play ranked by default. you invite your friends to carry you, and you dont give a damn about the win.

the moment you stop playing with your friends, you will drop like a rock. feel free to disprove me by playing solo and maintain your rank.

Dude, be a pleasant person on the boards. There's no need to be rude or insulting to another poster. Regardless of what you agree or disagree on.

Try to be more respectful in the future mate.

Played a game with a jhin adc had 26 farm at 15 minutes and literally said "I own this account with my friend" and he was freaking silver 4 like i know that is not the best elo BUT STILL 26 farm at 15 minutes in silver 4....

Eelxela2 votes

This is the main reason I stopped bothering to support. I mean when you get an ADC that you just click with, the game becomes absolutely amazing. But, if you get stuck with an ADC that could barely manage to last-hit minions that constantly gets bullied out of lane, then there isn't much to do. I've tried to cope with this by going from support main Leona to Veigar this season, but then people just complain that you're depriving the ADC of kills...even if they're dead and can't claim the kill. (I personally HATE supports that just go in with the mindset to carry, who doesn't buy wards or anything.) So, it doesn't matter that I have a Sightstone, the correct Totem, and finished the support item first. Just because I secure kills to give the ADC assists AFTER they're dead, I'm suddenly a wanna-be carry. There's just no winning as a support.

The funniest part is your more likely to get banned for flaming someone who is feeding then the actual feeder themselves...

Why would little leaguers try hard to win at little league baseball? Why would pee wee footballers try hard? Why do high school swimmers try hard?

Its a competitive environment, its a competitive game. If you can't respect the other players enough to be a good teammate then you have no business ever being allowed to play this game ever, under any circumstances.

Honestly, you're trolly af on the boards and you sound like a douche in game, you should probably just be perma'd again.

Maybe if Riot actually acted on it instead of trying to shove new skins and fanart down our throats...

I care. My only problem is that I don't think people use the report button nearly enough to get rid of toxic assholes and flamers.

Eelxela2 votes

That's exactly my point. Even after a win, if I see someone acting like a total nuisance towards either our team or the enemy team, I report those people. However, the current meta reaction to post game chat is "brag and leave". There's no point in ever saying, "But imagine if this happened to you!" because 1.) it probably won't happen to them, and 2.) they don't care. So many people make it clear that as long as nothing happens to them that the issue is not their problem. It's really sad that some people (a majority that I've run into) can't seem to be able to take a minute--nay, even a second--to send in a report to try to clean up the community.
