Do the buffs you get from killing the Dragon on the PBE go for just the killer or the whole team?

Its the whole team Im pretty sure.

So you give your team effective global gold rather than just straight up global gold.

I rather keep the global gold. I always thought spending your gold efficiently is part of the players skill. Now it is just binary

Question now is: What champions can solo dragon at level 4 now :P

You still have to do that. You just have slightly less to do it with at any given point of the game.

Having gold be the Dragon's reward makes it very similar to a tower. That means that evaluating whether or not the dragon is worth taking compared to a tower is extremely easy to judge, making it very easy to always know if a trade of a tower for a dragon is worth it. Strategically, there is no choice. It also is snowbally because if the dragon is worth taking, then the gold it gives you makes you strong enough to usually get the next dragon.

Giving it a different reward will go a long way to increasing strategic choices. Now, getting a tower over a dragon gives you more immediate advantage, but you also open up the possibility for the enemy getting more dragons and getting the extremely valuable rewards, particularly the 5th reward that is so game winning.

Having a different reward for dragon isn't binary (binary implies two outcomes and nothing in between. This is determined reward, not a binary one). It also isn't a loss of choice You may not have as much gold to spend, but you're still making the same choice about spending gold, and you get the choice of whether or not to create a dragon-focused strategy, which is a choice you don't have right now.

Unless i am jungler and I get a level 4 dragon this is how we normally get it.

Go bot as mid laner or jungler get a double kill get tower with a winion wave or/and dragon. I feel like every time you get a double kill bot dragon is free and happens a lot in my games.

So making it binary prevents any idea or thought on what to do with there lead. I've seen people get triples and dragon then buy a Frozen mallet on tristana in "GOLD". This pretty much lowers the skill cap my opinion and same with baron.

They need to stop touching jungle and making it so volatile every season. Early Season 3 was the best i thought.

Again, it isn't binary. Binary means two completely opposed outcomes. Second, no it doesn't. Having a reward which has potential to scale massively but primarily if you devote more resources to obtaining it offers a significant amount of choice. It means that you're rewarded with potential gains for investing time and resources, instead of just being rewarded with more power for winning a fight and taking an objective.

I feel like every time you get a double kill bot dragon is free and happens a lot in my games.

Yeah, and in those situations your decision making suddenly has more options. Take the Dragon and play for possibly getting the next ones for a big advantage. Or ignore it, take the tower, and try to use the increased gold to generate a snowball. There you go. More choice than I've got right now. Additionally, another common situation in any higher level play is the one where you don't get a double kill bot and it eventually turns into a trade where one top laner comes down for dragon and the other pushes top. In the current game, it's extremely easy to know exactly whether or not this trade is worth taking. No thought ever goes into it because there right decision is so easy to see. The skill cap on that decision is down to the floor because it's so unbelievably easy to make. All it takes is basic math skills and a bit of game knowledge.

I've seen people get triples and dragon then buy a Frozen mallet on tristana in "GOLD".

And you think that they wouldn't have gotten that item anyway? I see no connection between a poor item decision and dragon. That's a hell of a lot of money that they needed for Frozen Mallet. I sincerely doubt Dragon's contribution tipped the scales on that purchase.

Here's the most important part: You still have all of the decision making regarding gold you normally do. You still earn plenty of gold. Having Dragon just give more gold doesn't give you any more choices. Having it give a reward that you choose in opposition to gold gives you a choice, and it allows you to pursue different strategies. That's valuable.

I think you're completely wrong about it lowering the skill cap. I think what it does is stops rewarding people so much for making the exact same decisions every game and rewards them more for strategic decisions. If a low skill cap is being able to do the same thing every game and win, then that's raising the skill cap as I see it.
